Missing St. Louis Woman Alleacya Boulia's Body Found in Olympic National Park
Search teams found Alleacya Boulia's body in Olympic National Park, closing a months-long missing person case and leaving investigators with unanswered questions about cause and circumstances.

Search-and-rescue teams recovered the body of 26-year-old Alleacya Boulia in the Sol Duc Valley of Olympic National Park, bringing a tragic end to a disappearance that began in late November and has raised questions for family and investigators alike. The National Park Service and the family have said the incident remains under active investigation.
MyClallamCounty’s release said, “Search teams located and recovered the body of ‘Angel’ Alleacya Boulia on Feb. 6 in the Sol Duc Valley of Olympic National Park, near the Hidden Lake off‑trail area south of the Sol Duc Falls trailhead. Boulia was reported missing in late November. The incident remains under active investigation, and no additional information is available at this time.” The body was airlifted from the area so Boulia could be returned to St. Louis, Missouri, where family members live.
Investigators say Boulia was last clearly documented on November 17, when security footage showed her alone at a Walmart buying roughly $800 in camping gear, her mother April Boulia has said. The family reported her missing on November 27, and rangers began searching after a rental company’s signal showed a 2025 black Ford Bronco Sport parked at the Sol Duc Trailhead on November 30. Search efforts in December were limited by high winds and heavy rain, and by mid-December teams shifted to a clue-responsive posture until a fresh lead in early February prompted a renewed field effort.
The coordinated February operation that led to recovery involved extensive resources. Local reporting put the number at more than 41 search-and-rescue personnel and five K-9 teams, supplemented by drones, foot teams and a technical river-corridor search unit. Family members April and Asanti were present during the search that found the body, and relatives described the discovery as “spiritually guided.”
Items tied to the case have intensified scrutiny. Boulia’s rental vehicle contained camping equipment, a Walmart receipt, a set of three Subway sandwiches and a checklist described as an Olympic Park maintenance worker’s list, along with pool parts and pool repair tools. April Boulia detailed what she found odd about the contents: “She had two ponchos, she had two safety glasses, two pairs of heated gloves.” She added, “She had a large pair of pants, a small pair of pants. She had two double XL boxer shorts. Three pairs of boots in the car. It’s just a lot of strange things.” April also said investigators questioned a man and “he was not being called a suspect.”
Search teams recovered additional items in the park that could belong to Boulia, including a mosquito net, flashlight, bandana and other survival-kit items. The case was initially handled by Port Angeles Police Department and later transferred to the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch. Officials have not released a cause of death, and they have not said whether foul play is suspected.
For readers in the community, this case underscores how quickly a recreational trip can turn into a complex investigation and why keeping clear records of travel plans and emergency contacts matters. The National Park Service has said the investigation is active; family updates will be shared through a GoFundMe and future statements. Expect official updates on cause and manner of death, and answers about the items found, as investigators work through forensic testing and follow up on the fresh lead that led searchers back into the Sol Duc Valley.
