MLV Championship at Comerica Center in Frisco May 7 and 9, $1M

The Major League Volleyball Championship will bring three postseason matches to Comerica Center in Frisco, with two semifinal matches slated for Thursday, May 7 and the "Match For a Million" title match on Saturday, May 9, 2026, league and venue announcements say. The winning team will receive a one million dollar bonus to be distributed among its roster, a sum described across announcements as the most lucrative prize in U.S. volleyball.

Comerica Center, located at 2601 Avenue of the Stars, Frisco, TX 75034, will host the event in its roughly 6,000-seat arena. The arena also houses the practice facility for the NHL's Dallas Stars, hosts the NBA G League Texas Legends and serves as home for MLV’s newest franchise, the Dallas Pulse.

Visit Frisco and Comerica Center emphasize broad media exposure: all three matches will be broadcast nationally on ION. Visit Frisco frames the broadcasts as exclusive to ION under MLV’s new partnership with Scripps Sports, bringing the championship to over-the-air audiences and to major pay-TV and connected TV/FAST services. Local officials pitched the selection as a payoff for Frisco’s investment in sports infrastructure and fan growth. Josh Dill, assistant executive director of Visit Frisco, said, “The Dallas Pulse have already been a wonderful addition to our impressive roster of professional sports organizations in Frisco. We are thrilled that Major League Volleyball would entrust our wonderful partners at Comerica Center and Sports City USA with hosting their 2026 Championship.” MLV board co-chair Scott Gorsline added, “The sport of volleyball is extremely vibrant and strong in the entire North Texas region. The excitement in the market for our sport was a key factor in deciding to bring our postseason to Frisco and the Comerica Center.”

Comerica Center reports it stages more than 120 events annually and draws more than 250,000 visitors each year, a concentration of events and attendees that venue officials and business leaders expect will amplify hotel occupancy, restaurants and ancillary spending when the championship comes to town. Sports Business Journal and local television coverage cited the area’s youth volleyball participation and the Dallas Pulse’s arrival as drivers of the sport’s surge and said bringing the MLV title to Frisco “cements the city’s status as a premier national destination for professional sports,” a phrase attributed to Krista Summerville of WFAA-ABC in industry coverage.

Organizers said details on ticket purchases and availability will be announced in the near future; Comerica Center and MLV have not released exact on-sale dates, match times or pricing. Frisco will host national television exposure and a seven-figure prize in early May as the Match For a Million crowns a champion on May 9.
