Monroe County Deputies Arrest Two for Threats, Seven in Drug Bust
Jeanty Falando Altenor, 36, was arrested after deputies say he punched and kicked a 62-year-old woman into unconsciousness at a Roberta Street home in Stock Island; seven others were booked in a separate drug probe.

Deputies responded to a domestic dispute at a home on Roberta Street in Stock Island around 9:52 p.m., where investigators say Jeanty Falando Altenor, 36, of Key West, assaulted a 62-year-old woman. "Authorities say Altenor turned his attention to the older woman, punching and kicking her until she lost consciousness," the Tampa Free Press excerpt reports, and the victim was transported to Lower Keys Medical Center for treatment. Neighbors intervened, Altenor fled the scene, and deputies located him nearby and took him into custody, the excerpt says.
The Tampa Free Press excerpt links Altenor to an earlier vehicle incident, noting that "Altenor is linked to a prior hit-and-run involving a parked vehicle." Altenor faces alleged charges of aggravated battery, domestic battery, hit-and-run and failure to register as a convicted felon, and the excerpt states he remains in custody. Separately, the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office public arrest log dated March 3, 2026 shows multiple battery-related arrests and domestic-incident bookings, including entries listing Michelle Hoyda Clark as arrested on March 3 and Jesus Hector Hernandez in Stock Island; the excerpts do not explicitly tie those log names to the Roberta Street incident.
Tampa Free Press also reported a chain of disturbances tied to Marathon that led deputies to track a person identified only as "Josey" to 63rd Street after "causing a similar scene at a third location." The excerpt lists charges against Josey as assault, assault on a person 65 or older, aggravated battery and disorderly conduct and notes, "No injuries were reported in connection with the Marathon incidents." The excerpt says Josey remains in custody.
In a separate law-enforcement action, Keysnews reports seven people were booked into the Monroe County Jail on Monday following what the sheriff’s office described as "a months-long investigation." The seven named in the Keysnews excerpt are Damonta Derek Knowles, 39, of Key West; Humberto Hernandez, 65, of Stock Island; Robert Lee Brown, 50, of Stock Island; Zoryana Erica Brown, 28, of Stock Island and of Key West; Isidro Fernandez, 40, of Stock Island; Lourdes Nodal Santana, 59, of Stock Island; and Jasmine Isabel Maisonet, 43, of Stock Island. According to the excerpt, the defendants face charges of illegal drug sales and some are charged with using communications devices to commit alleged felony offenses. Sheriff Rick Ramsay is quoted thanking "our Special Operations Detectives as well as our local and federal law enforcement partners for their hard work in bringing these drug dealers to justice" and adding, "These arrests highlight how important those partnerships are in keeping our community safe."
A separate, earlier case included in the source material involved Alexsa Lashae Rahming, 27, a Monroe County Detention Center employee on Stock Island who was arrested in 2022 on a misdemeanor battery charge after an alleged incident on Angela Street; that case is distinct from the March 2026 arrests and prompted an internal affairs review and administrative leave at the time, with Sheriff Ramsay saying, "I want to ensure you get the good and the bad news regarding this agency from me first."
Records available in the MCSO public arrest log and the Keysnews and Tampa Free Press excerpts provide names, charges and local locations, while some details remain unresolved in the excerpts. The entries in the March 3, 2026 log and the separate Stock Island, Marathon and multi-defendant drug arrests together reflect a wave of recent bookings across Key West, Stock Island and Marathon as investigators continue processing the cases.
