Multiple departments extinguished large building fire on Meadowlake Road in Valencia County

Fire crews from Valencia County, Los Lunas, Rio Communities, Bosque Farms and Peralta responded to a large building fire on Meadowlake Road, KOAT Action 7 News reported. KOAT said the flames were contained to the building of origin and that crews were able to extinguish the blaze after first-arriving units found the structure "heaving engulfed in flames."

The Valencia County Fire Department told KOAT the building's construction included railroad ties, telephone poles and bricks, a combination that "mak[es] extinguishing efforts challenging."
