Neros Technologies launches UK subsidiary in Swindon, pledges £10M for FPV manufacturing
Neros Technologies UK Ltd will open a Swindon-area HQ and invest up to £10 million over five years to build onshore FPV drone production for the UK Armed Forces and European partners.

Neros Technologies has created Neros Technologies UK Ltd and pledged up to £10 million over the next five years to establish a Swindon-area headquarters and domestic production of autonomous, strike-capable FPV unmanned aerial vehicles for the UK Armed Forces and allied European partners. The company, founded in 2023, said the move is intended to deliver sovereign manufacturing capacity and bolster local supply-chain resilience, with the pledged investment equal to roughly $13 million in some reports.
The announcement follows prior UK engagement by Neros, including participation in Ministry of Defence FPV trials and deliveries routed via the International Drone Capability Coalition. Company activity in the theatre is already extensive: reporting across outlets states Neros has delivered "thousands of systems" to Ukrainian forces and to US entities since its 2023 founding, and Neros previously established a Neros UA operation in Ukraine to support operations and maintenance for Western forces.
Product-level claims in the company’s rollout include references to autonomous, strike-capable FPV systems and, in one industry report, a named platform called Archer. GlobalData reporting noted, "Archer was the first strike FPV platform to appear on the US DoD’s Blue UAS List, a programme that examines hardware and software for security issues and foreign-sourced risks, and the system completed that process successfully." The company has also indicated intent to source components from allied countries as part of its UK production plan.
Hugo Crawford, Europe Growth Lead at Neros, framed the expansion as strategic: "As a leading manufacturer driving the shift to sovereign drone capability for allied forces, the UK has always been a critical hub for Neros. The establishment of Neros UK and opening our headquarters in a key drone manufacturing hub is a milestone as we look to bring our world-leading intellectual property and operational infrastructure to UK and allied forces around the world." Swindon North MP Will Stone welcomed the move, saying, "It is outstanding to have Neros Technologies UK join the growing number of UAV manufacturing companies in Swindon. I am proud to be supporting them as they expand into the UK with their leading capabilities that I believe are crucial for supporting the next generation of warfare and supporting jobs here in Swindon. With five companies confirmed and more in the pipeline, it is undeniable that Swindon is now a major player in drone manufacturing."

Key implementation details remain unstated: no precise Swindon site address, no timeline to first production runs, and no hiring numbers were released in the announcement published after March 3, 2026. Neros’ statement and multiple outlet reports identify the investment scale and five-year timeframe but stop short of confirming specific MoD procurement contracts or export-control arrangements for strike-capable systems.
For the competitive FPV scene, the practical result may be tangible: a stronger UK manufacturing base and allied-component sourcing could improve availability of frames, spare parts and certified platforms that trickle into professional racing and event supply chains. The announcement cements Swindon’s emergence as a drone manufacturing cluster and positions Neros to translate its claimed fleet-scale deliveries and Blue UAS List recognition into onshore capacity for defence customers and, indirectly, the broader FPV ecosystem.
