Nine men were indicted on 38 counts after a 17-day wave of burglaries, armed robberies, car thefts and weapons offenses that prosecutors say ran from Suffolk County through Westchester and down to Florida. Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond A. Tierney announced the charges following a multi-agency probe that returned the indictment covering July 19 to Aug. 4, 2025.

The indictment charges the group with 10 burglaries, three armed robberies and multiple vehicle thefts, with courts to decide individual exposure; prosecutors said several defendants face up to 25 years in prison if convicted. The DA’s office released surveillance video showing a suspect inside an auto-body shop during a July burglary as part of the evidentiary package.

Prosecutors say the spree began July 19 when defendants allegedly drove a stolen BMW from Suffolk County to Westchester County, broke into three auto-body shops that night and stole cash and roughly 200 blank checks before returning to Long Island. Investigators allege the ring repeatedly swapped stolen license plates as they moved across jurisdictions to avoid detection.

A Bay Shore home invasion later in the spree is named in the indictment. Prosecutors allege Cruz, Parra, Savion Jones, Kenny and Robert Salters forced entry into a Bay Shore residence and stole about $4,700 at gunpoint; Robert Salters is identified in charging papers as 20 years old and from Wyandanch, and Savion Jones is listed as 22 and from Huntington Station. Patch and court filings indicate the group targeted auto-body shops and residences across Suffolk County, Nassau County, New York City, Westchester and Dutchess counties and as far south as Florida.

Police say a 911 call on Aug. 4 led to arrests and recovery of key evidence. Officers recovered a .45 caliber handgun, cash, a key fob to a stolen Dodge Charger and stolen license plates inside a vehicle; police also recovered the Dodge Charger nearby and found additional stolen plates. Authorities reported Cruz had a .45 caliber handgun, $2,000 in cash and the Charger key fob when arrested; Patch reports Cruz and Parra have remained incarcerated since their August 2025 arrests. Savion Jones is currently in custody on an unrelated case, prosecutors noted.

Tierney framed the indictment as the result of coordinated work: “This indictment is another example of my office’s commitment to holding organized criminal enterprises accountable. Through collaboration with our law enforcement partners, we were able to uncover, identify, and charge this Suffolk County-based operation with a pattern of robberies, burglaries, and car thefts spanning multiple jurisdictions from Long Island to Florida.” ATF Special Agent in Charge Bryan DiGirolamo described the case as reflecting “brazen violence that endangers our communities.”

The 38-count indictment moves the matter into Suffolk County court, where arraignments and specific charge assignments will determine next steps in prosecutions that prosecutors say dismantled a roaming smash-and-grab operation active between July 19 and Aug. 4, 2025. All defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
