North West cancels debut Kimokawaii tour days before kickoff

North West scrapped her first headlining tour days before the opening night in Dallas, ending a 14-date Kimokawaii run that had been set to launch on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2026. Ticketing pages and concert listings began disappearing, and Ticketmaster’s Dallas event page said the organizer had canceled the show.

North West posted on Instagram Stories on July 31 that she had been “really excited to go on tour w Molly Santana” but that “Sadly it isn’t happening anymore.” She added, “But I have something special for u guys see ya soon.” No public explanation was given for why the tour came off the calendar.

The canceled run had been announced in June with rapper Molly Santana and was built around North West’s NOrth4evr EP. The itinerary stretched across 14 dates, with Dallas as the start, one Canadian stop in Toronto, and a final date in Los Angeles later in the month.

The abrupt pullback drew outsized attention because the Kimokawaii dates had been promoted as North West’s first headlining tour. North West, the daughter of Kim Kardashian and Ye, also known as Kanye West, has been moving from internet visibility into live music, a path that can generate fast bookings before it is clear whether online attention turns into paying concert demand.

The cancellation left the core business question unresolved. A 14-date routing across Dallas, Toronto and Los Angeles can be assembled quickly when a performer has a large social audience and major-name recognition, but it still depends on ticket buyers, venue availability and production logistics. With the public record offering no reason for the reversal, the move now stands as an early test of whether celebrity-family fame can sustain a touring act once the date holds start to come due.
