Oxford Early Childhood Center reminds parents 3K, 4K documents due Friday
Oxford Early Childhood Center says required 3K and 4K residency documents must be dropped off by 4 p.m. Friday, March 6, at 1637 Hwy 30 to complete applications.

Oxford Early Childhood Center posted a reminder March 4 that parents of children entering 3K and 4K must deliver required enrollment and residency documents by 4 p.m. on Friday of the reporting week — the drop-off window runs March 2–6, 2026, 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. daily at the center, 1637 Hwy 30.
Online registration for Oxford School District 3-K and 4-K opened Monday, February 16, 2026, at 8:00 a.m.; the district set a registration deadline of February 27, 2026. The center’s materials include the headings “Registration is now open!” and “Register for 2026-2027,” and list registration as Step 1 followed by “Step 2: Academic Screener.”
Parents must submit proofs of residency in person at the Document Drop-off Event March 2–6 at Oxford Early Childhood Center. “All documents must be received in order for your child to have a complete application,” the district materials state. Affidavit forms and arrangements for a personal visit by a designated school district official are available through the Student Registration office at Oxford Intermediate School.
Residency verification requires two parts. Group A requires any one of the following with the parent or guardian’s name and address: a mortgage document from the month of or month prior to registration, a property deed, a property tax document for the most recent tax year, a filed Homestead Exemption Application form, a current apartment or home lease with an expiration date or term, or other documentation that “will objectively and unequivocally establish” residency as determined by the director of student registration, superintendent, or designee. Group B requires any one of the following: a utility bill (water, gas, electricity, solid waste, TV cable, internet, or landline phone) for the month of or month prior to registration — outdated utility bills will not be accepted — a valid Mississippi automobile registration, an affidavit and/or personal visit by a designated school district official (affidavit forms available at Oxford Intermediate School), or other documentation that will objectively and unequivocally establish residency as determined by the same district officials. The district’s notice emphasizes, “NOTE: the parent/guardian’s name and address on each of these items must be the same.”
The center’s enrollment materials also address operational and safety policies. Families will “be notified via school messenger and through REMIND” about severe weather; the center will maintain regular hours if schools do not send children home early, and if a weather event requires closing parents must pick children up as soon as possible and tuition credits will be given for weather-related closures. The longer program handbook language states, “The Oxford Early Learning Center is non-sectarian and non-discriminatory and will comply with the spirit and intent of the American Disabilities Act.”
Pesticide notifications and child-protection policies are also included in the Core-docs materials. The district notes, “The Oxford Community School District normally applies pesticides during the summer or other vacation periods when school is not in session,” and promises advance notice upon registration and each September with target pests, location, date, contact information, and a toll-free number for national pesticide information; parents may request additional personal notification in writing. The handbook further states verbatim that “The Oxford Early Learning Center staff are deemed mandated reporters by the State of Michigan, Department of Human Services which governs all schools and childcare programs per Michigan Law, 1975 PA 238, MCL 722.621 et. Seq. Requires the reporting of any suspected child abuse and neglect by mandated reporters. The Child Protection Law includes the legal requirements for reporting, investigating and responding to child abuse and neglect.”
Parents who need to complete an affidavit, obtain additional verification, or confirm document details should visit the Student Registration office at Oxford Intermediate School; all required documents must be dropped off at Oxford Early Childhood Center, 1637 Hwy 30, by 4:00 p.m. Friday, March 6, for a complete 3K or 4K application.
