Hundreds of shoppers converged on the Oxford Conference Center on Feb. 28, turning the sold-out Indoor Yard Sale into a brisk, regional marketplace where families and bargain hunters hunted antiques, clothing and small appliances. OxfordMSNews reported that “hundreds of shoppers flocked” to the event, while the Oxford Conference Center confirmed vendor booths for 2026 were sold out.

Organizers scheduled the sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Oxford Conference Center, 102 Ed Perry Blvd (off Sisk Ave), and listed admission at $2 per person with children 12 and under admitted free. The Oxford Eagle noted the event was held rain or shine and emphasized the center’s climate-controlled space for browsing.

Shoppers moved through about 40 booths run by dozens of vendors offering children’s and adult clothes, toys, books, electronics, antiques, home furniture and furnishings, small appliances and other home goods. VisitOxfordMS and the OCC promotional listing described the sale as a treasure-hunt style marketplace with one-of-a-kind bargains and a comfortable indoor setting for browsers.

Organizers and vendors described the sale as both popular and competitive to join. Oxford Conference Center Director Micah Quinn told the Oxford Eagle, “We expect a large turnout; not only from Lafayette County but also from our surrounding counties,” she said. “People are starting to finally get out and about after the ice storm. This is the perfect, affordable family outing.” Lori Markle, who oversees the event, told the Eagle, “We have limited vendor space, and we sell out faster each year.” First-time vendor Jenny Hipp said, “I have always wanted to do the yard sale, and I am so excited I got in this year.” Hipp added, “I know this sale gets a lot of traffic. This will be a great opportunity to purge and make some extra money.”

Vendors who still had unsold items were given an option to donate to Holding Hands Resale on North Lamar Boulevard, according to the Oxford Eagle. The Conference Center’s public listing also spelled out vendor application rules for future sales: applications and payments are accepted Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.–5 p.m., with booths officially reserved only after the application fee is paid and credit card payments subject to a processing fee.

Organizers said they plan to open applications in October for next year’s event. The Oxford Conference Center’s event page specifies applications for 2027 will be accepted beginning Oct. 15, while the Oxford Eagle noted applications are available in October on a first-come basis and that no date has yet been set for the 2027 sale.
