Paizo refreshed its January lineup on January 13 with new terrain accessories, fresh Organized Play scenarios, and a scheduling change that will alter how and when players get digital products. The headline change is a move that puts digital adventures on the same release cadence as physical products by shifting digital drops to the first week of each month, delivering day-and-date access for PDFs and virtual-ready content.

For GMs who like ready-to-run encounters, two Flip-Mat releases are front and center. Pathfinder Flip-Mat: Primal Dungeons is a double-sided map built for primal and cavern encounters, featuring a damp cavern sprawl flecked with fungi on one side and an ancient ritual site overtaken by primal forces on the other. Starfinder Flip-Mat: Imperial Bases provides sci-fi options with a cliffside military base on one face and a magitech outpost on the reverse, ideal for infiltration or assault scenes. The January highlight slate also emphasizes new pawn accessories to pair with the maps for quick table setup.

Organized Play received a meaningful boost for January as well. Pathfinder Society and Pathfinder Quest releases include Pathfinder Society Scenario #7-08: The Haunted Corridor; Pathfinder Quest Series 2 #27: Within the Glacier; Pathfinder Society Scenario #7-09: The Chitterwood Walks, Part 1: Scrambling the Tribes; and Pathfinder Society Scenario #7-10: Shattered Blades. Starfinder Society scenarios are also scheduled to drop during the month, giving GMs and players more options for one-shots and campaign play.

Platform partners will carry synchronized content throughout January. Archives of Nethys, Demiplane, Fantasy Grounds, Hero Lab Online, and Roll20 are listed as platforms receiving new material. Paizo also reiterated Paizo Subscriptions as a route for PDFs and early access. A notable marketplace change: Roll20 is no longer part of PaizoConnect, and discounts or complimentary PDFs previously tied to PaizoConnect do not apply through Roll20. That distinction matters for groups who buy through virtual tabletops and expect bundled PDF perks.

Practical takeaways are straightforward. Expect to be able to buy and run digital adventures the same day physical copies arrive, update virtual-tabletop libraries via partner platforms, and review purchase channels if you relied on PaizoConnect benefits through Roll20. The new Flip-Mats and pawns cut prep time and expand encounter variety whether you run primal caverns or magitech bases.

With releases synchronized and new maps on the table, plan purchases around the first-week digital window, confirm where your preferred platform will host content, and jump into the January scenarios to test the new tools and encounters.
