Parker Council Unanimously Approves Metal Roofing Contract for Two City Buildings
Parker Common Council voted unanimously Feb. 24 to award H&S Roofing a contract to remove old roofing and install new metal roofs on Parker City Hall and the city maintenance shop.

The Parker Common Council unanimously approved a contractor bid Feb. 24, 2026, sending a contract to H&S Roofing to remove existing roofing material and install new metal roofing on two municipal buildings: Parker City Hall and the city maintenance shop. Council members voted in favor of the bid during their regular meeting, clearing the way for the replacement project to proceed.
The work described in the approved contract includes removal of the old roofing material and the installation of metal roofing panels at the two city facilities. Parker City Hall, located on California Avenue, will be one of the two sites receiving the new roofing, while the city maintenance shop on 12th Street will receive the same replacement work under the contract awarded to H&S Roofing.
Council action on Feb. 24 followed consideration of a contractor bid package presented at the meeting. With the unanimous vote, H&S Roofing is now the awarded contractor charged with carrying out the roof removal and installation work at both municipal properties. The council did not place conditions on the vote; the bid was accepted as presented.

City operations headquartered in Parker City Hall and maintenance functions based at the city maintenance shop are the most directly affected municipal services. The approved contract anticipates physical work on the buildings’ roofs, which will likely involve staging and contractor activity at both addresses once H&S Roofing mobilizes crews to begin the project.
The council’s decision Feb. 24 establishes a clear administrative record that the city is moving forward with capital maintenance for two key municipal buildings. With H&S Roofing awarded the contract, the next steps will be contractor mobilization and execution of the removal and installation phases at Parker City Hall and the maintenance shop as set out in the bid documents presented to the Parker Common Council.
