PebbleCreek Pickleball Club's 10th Annual Invitational in Goodyear Draws Hundreds of Seniors
PebbleCreek wrapped its 10th Annual Invitational Feb. 25-27 in Goodyear, drawing hundreds of mostly 50+ players in 3.0-5.0 brackets and marking a decade of member-focused play.

PebbleCreek Pickleball Club completed its 10th Annual PebbleCreek Pickleball Club Invitational Tournament Feb. 25-27 in Goodyear, Arizona, an informal, multi-day amateur event that organizers and local listings say drew hundreds of players and marked a milestone in the club’s winter season. Registration for the Invitational opened Dec. 1, 2025, and the tournament carried the club’s membership-focused, senior-oriented tone throughout the weekend.
The club’s own announcement leading into the weekend made the target field explicit. PebbleCreekPost author Barbara Wellington wrote Dec. 1, 2025, "The 10th Annual PebbleCreek Pickleball Club Invitational Tournament is open for registration! The play dates are Feb. 25, 26, and 27, 2026. This fun tournament, in Goodyear, Ariz., is great for players rated 3.0-5.0, age 50+. Players at check–in will receive a special t-shirt and nutritious treats will be nearby to get things…" That combination of player-age brackets and check-in perks framed the weekend as community-first rather than pro-level prize play.
Regional tournament listings corroborated the three-day schedule and underscored the Invitational’s amateur emphasis. A Pickleball Daily Phoenix/Scottsdale tournament page listed the event with standard venue and refund sections and explicitly showed "Prize Money N/A," while an independent Sptournaments posting confirmed the Feb. 25–27, 2026 dates under the event name 10th Annual - PebbleCreek PickleCreek Pickleball Club Invitational Tournament.

PebbleCreek’s recent event history helps explain the pull the Invitational had for winter players. Club reporting in May 2025 by Charla McGue recalled the Club Championship that drew "over 270 participants and hundreds of spectators" in a three-day format, a benchmark that demonstrates the club’s capacity to host large fields. Earlier season activity also filled the calendar: a Member/Guest Tournament on Jan. 8 (Ladies Day) and Jan. 9 (Men’s Day) was announced as full by Jen Wright on Jan. 1, 2026, and a Sept. 27, 2025 dedication of Bill Segal’s Table at the mini Ramada on the North Courts highlighted the community ties that fuel weekend turnout.
With registration opening Dec. 1, 2025 and the weekend played Feb. 25-27, the 10th Invitational reinforced PebbleCreek’s role as a destination for senior amateurs seeking competitive, membership-oriented play without prize-money incentives. The club’s calendar of Member/Guest events, the Club Championship precedent of 270-plus participants, and the celebratory dedication of Bill Segal’s Table all pointed to a club culture that treats tournaments as community milestones as much as competition.
