Perez Hilton hospitalized after reported self-harm during TikTok livestream

Perez Hilton was taken to a Miami hospital Tuesday night after a TikTok livestream in which he appeared to engage in self-harm on social media. The livestream was later removed, and the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office said it received multiple calls before deputies responded to Hilton’s home in Miami-Dade County.

Deputies spoke with family members and learned Hilton was alone inside the house, CBS News reported. ABC News said the TikTok appeared to show Hilton harming himself with a knife, while NBC6 South Florida placed the response in Miami-Dade’s Westchester neighborhood. NBC News said Hilton had recently returned to his native Miami after living in Las Vegas.

The sheriff’s office said deputies in mental-health-crisis and self-harm incidents prioritize de-escalation, a standard that shaped the response to the scene.
