Perry City Council Meeting Set for Feb. 17 at 6 p.m.
The Perry City Council will meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building, 1102 Willis Avenue, after being moved for the President’s Day holiday.

Because of the President’s Day holiday, the Perry City Council will meet in regular session at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, in the Clarion Room of the Security Bank Building, 1102 Willis Avenue in Perry, a Raccoon Valley Radio notice published Feb. 16 said. "The Perry City Council will meet in regular session tomorrow, due to the President’s Day holiday," the notice states, and it adds that the meeting is open to the public.
Raccoon Valley Radio listed specific items "seeking approval" on the agenda, including "a resolution authorizing and approving a loan agreement, providing for the sale and issuance of general obligation bonds and providing for the levy of taxes to pay the same and a pay application for the wastewater treatment facility improvements." The notice also enumerated other business: "resolutions awarding a quote for the 2026 crack sealing project and approving the print fleet management contract for the administrative office."

The station's short notice further states that "The council will also hold the second and possibly third readings of three zoning ordinances." Raccoon Valley Radio repeated those agenda highlights on its social feed and confirmed the meeting location as the Clarion Room inside the Security Bank Building at 1102 Willis Avenue, Perry, with the meeting open to public attendance.
City calendar material from a different municipal source complicates attribution and should be treated separately. A Perry city calendar and agenda excerpt labeled Perry, GA lists City Hall at 808 Carroll Street, Perry, GA 31069, notes that "Work Session meetings begin at 5:00 p.m. and City Council meetings begin at 6:00 p.m. All meetings of City Council are held at Perry City Hall, 808 Carroll Street, Perry, GA," and names Mayor Randall Walker as presiding officer and Ms. A. Warren in connection with establishing the council's 2026 meeting calendar. That Perry-ga document also reminds readers that "Meeting dates are subject to change at council’s discretion" and that "accommodations are available for those who are hearing impaired and/or in need of a wheelchair."
A separate Media Rainpos agenda for Thursday, Feb. 12, 2026, lists a Perry City Council meeting at City Council Chambers, 1950 South Highway 89, and includes distinct items such as "Motion to Approve Red Line Amendments to the Rocky Mountain Franchise Agreement" and "Ordinance 26-C Adjusting Common Boundary between Perry City and Willard City." Those addresses and agenda items differ materially from the Raccoon Valley Radio notice and appear to reflect a different municipal Perry; their items should not be conflated with the Feb. 17 meeting at the Security Bank Building unless confirmed.
Reporters and citizens seeking confirmation should ask the municipal office associated with 1102 Willis Avenue for the full agenda packet and staff reports on the loan resolution and general obligation bonds, the wastewater treatment facility pay application, the 2026 crack sealing quote award, the print fleet management contract, and the three zoning ordinance texts. Raccoon Valley Radio’s Feb. 16 notice and the city office that uses the Security Bank Building are the primary starting points for verification; the Perry, GA calendar (808 Carroll Street) and the Media Rainpos Feb. 12 agenda reflect separate municipal schedules and contacts.
