Post Falls Historical Society Museum Meet and Greet at Chapin Building March 12

Post Falls Historical Society and the City of Post Falls will open the Chapin Building, home of the Post Falls Museum, for a free "Museum Meet & Greet" at 101 East 4th Avenue, corner of 4th and Spokane, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Thursday, March 12. The City public post carries the headline "Museum Meet & Greet: You're Invited" and organizers say the open-house format lets visitors tour the space and speak with museum volunteers and staff.

Attendees can walk through three rooms of special displays inside the Chapin Building, which was constructed in early 1923 and originally housed Chapin’s Drugs. The museum, which first opened in August 2009, showcases Post Falls artifacts and themed rooms including household items, a replica school room and military uniforms. Volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and explain exhibits during the 11 a.m.–3 p.m. session.

Admission to the Meet & Greet is free; donations are gladly accepted and are tax deductible to support the Post Falls Historical Society’s mission. The society states, "The Post Falls Historical Society, Inc. is a non-profit corporation created in 1988 with the purpose of protecting and preserving the historical heritage of the Post Falls area by sharing and recording our history."
