Pratesi Doubles Palm Beach Flagship Space for Linen and Heritage Housewares
Pratesi completed an expansion of its Palm Beach flagship at 400 Hibiscus Avenue on February 16, 2026, adding bespoke bedding and a larger retail footprint amid conflicting square footage reports.

Pratesi completed an expansion of its Palm Beach flagship at 400 Hibiscus Avenue on February 16, 2026, a project Luxury Daily described as doubling the boutique’s retail space. Luxury Daily reported the store “added 1,400 square feet to an existing 1,150 square feet,” while Palm Beach Daily News had earlier reported the Hibiscus Avenue boutique occupied an 820‑square‑foot space when it opened March 14, 2024, creating conflicting size figures across coverage.
The fit out was led by Studio Monteleone & Associates, variously credited in coverage as Monteleone and Associates or Monteleone & Associates, and leans classic Pratesi with contemporary touches. Sources note travertine floors, teak, leather and copper accents and tufted wool carpets inspired by the company’s butterfly motif; Luxesource called the result a “bright and airy outpost” and credited Barry Grossman Photography for imagery of the space.
Merchandise expands with the physical footprint. The boutique now includes a dedicated section for bespoke bedding and made‑to‑order linens, and carries Pratesi bed, bath and table collections by name — Angel Luxe, Paradise, Tre Righe, Treccia, Federico, Fresia, Divino and Marca. Palm Beach Daily News and Luxury Daily list specific product types on offer: duvet covers, shams, sheets, hand‑sewn towels, tub mats, robes, tablecloths, napkins, runners and placemats, plus cashmere throws and a selection of fine gifts. Luxesource also notes a Farfallino scarf described as a limited‑edition piece exclusive to Palm Beach.
The expansion arrives as Pratesi reasserts its retail presence after a turbulent stretch. The brand abruptly closed its Worth Avenue location at 324 Worth Ave. in August 2018 following the Pratesi family’s sale to J2 Brands Group, and Sferra Fine Linens took over Pratesi in 2020 with a relaunch in planning from 2022. Michelle Klein, identified variously as CEO of Pratesi and as president and chief executive officer of Sferra and Pratesi, framed the Hibiscus Avenue push as strategic: “The debut of our newly expanded Palm Beach flagship marks a defining moment for Pratesi,” she said. Klein added, “This is not only our largest retail footprint to date, but a powerful expression of the brand’s evolution and our commitment to creating truly extraordinary experiences for our clients.” In earlier remarks to the Palm Beach Daily News she underscored the brand’s heritage, saying, “Pratesi has maintained a legacy of crafting the world’s most iconic, comfortable, and indulgent textiles and accessories for the well‑dressed home,” and invoked a “118‑year tradition of Italian innovation.”

Pratesi’s retail strategy also includes partnerships and legacy distribution. Palm Beach Daily News reports a collaboration with ready‑to‑wear shoemaker Stubbs & Wootten on a special made‑to‑order collection of women’s and men’s slippers, mules and clutch bags, and outlets previously carried Pratesi online at pratesi.com as well as at Harrods and Woods Fine Linens in the U.K. Coverage differs on the store’s status — some outlets call the Hibiscus Avenue shop the brand’s only stand‑alone store worldwide, while Palm Beach Daily News described it as the brand’s first standalone store in more than five years.
With materials that read like a modern Italian house and a newly installed bespoke service, the Hibiscus Avenue flagship positions Pratesi back in Palm Beach as both a homewares destination and a literal showroom for its heritage collections following the 2018 closure and the Sferra takeover. Michelle Klein’s claim that the expansion represents Pratesi’s largest retail footprint to date frames the move as a deliberate relaunch of the House of Pratesi in a market the company calls essential.
