Prattville's Deshawn Hall Draws Major Offers, Plans Spring Visits; Alabama Offer Unclear

Deshawn Hall, a junior wide receiver at Prattville High School in Autauga County, has drawn a surge of interest from Power Five programs and is scheduled for a busy spring visit slate, according to Touchdown Alabama and 247Sports reporting. Touchdown Alabama said Hall “had a huge January with offers from Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and others,” while 247Sports published a detailed roster of spring visits starting March 7 and official visits in late May and June.

Recruiting outlets list a broad union of offers and active interest: Touchdown Alabama and Yardbarker name Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina and Tennessee among explicit offers; Yardbarker adds Auburn, Florida and Penn State to the list; On3 and TDA cite strong Florida interest. Touchdown Alabama’s Feb. 12 tweet read, “Prattville 2027 6-foot-6 WR Deshawn Hall @1take_D33 had a huge January with offers from Georgia, Missouri, South Carolina, Tennessee and others. Hall is now eyeing a busy slate of spring visits.”

247Sports provided the most specific spring itinerary, listing unofficial visits on Florida March 7, Clemson March 13, Tennessee March 26, Auburn March 31, Penn State April 2, Michigan April 4 and Georgia April 18. 247Sports also confirmed official visits already set: Clemson May 29-31, Auburn June 12-14 and Tennessee June 19-21, and noted that Auburn is set to host Hall for a pair of visits.

Whether the University of Alabama has extended a scholarship remains unresolved in public reporting. An Original Report asserted Alabama extended a scholarship offer and that Hall planned a spring visit to Tuscaloosa and described the moment as “surreal.” By contrast, Touchdown Alabama and Yardbarker explicitly reported that “Alabama has yet to extend an offer to Hall, but the Tide is showing interest in him.” Hall himself told Touchdown Alabama, “It’s been smooth,” and “It’s been picking up a little bit,” when asked about contact with Alabama. Justin Smith’s Feb. 28 tweet added, “Prattville 4-Star WR Deshawn Hall @1take_D33 is a tough cover at the @thesevens7on7. Hall looking to visit Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Georgia and others this spring.”

Scouting notes across outlets emphasize Hall’s size and basketball background, though measurements differ by outlet. Touchdown Alabama and On3 list Hall at 6-foot-6, 190 pounds and observe that his “basketball background literally leaps off his junior film” and that he is “a very hard cover in jump-ball situations.” 247Sports lists him at 6-foot-5, 185 pounds and ranks him in its Composite as No. 268 overall in the 2027 class, No. 36 among wide receivers and No. 11 in Alabama. Hall summed the strengths evaluators cite: “My size automatically gives me an advantage, and then I take pride in going to get the ball at its highest point above the corners and safeties.”

With sources divided over whether Alabama has moved from interest to an offer, the coming weeks of on-campus visits and follow-up recruitment from coaches will determine which schools convert contact into formal scholarship offers.
