Ritz-Carlton Yacht Luminara Unveils Summer 2027 Asia and Alaska Itineraries
The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection has unveiled 21 Summer 2027 voyages aboard Luminara - 15 sailings to Alaska, four across Asia, plus two transcontinental crossings, April through October 2027.

The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection unveiled Luminara’s Summer 2027 deployment, a 21-voyage season running April through October 2027 that splits into 15 Alaska sailings, four Asia voyages and two transcontinental crossings. Ernesto Fara, president and chief executive officer, said, “Our Summer 2027 season on Luminara reflects our continued focus on immersive exploration by sea, pairing expanded Alaska voyages and new ports of call across Asia with the comfort of ultra-luxury accommodations and personalized service.”
Luminara returns to Alaska with a denser program after the ship’s inaugural Alaska season in 2026. The 15 Alaska sailings operate between Vancouver, British Columbia, and Whittier, Alaska, and include calls in Juneau, Sitka, Klawock, Wrangell, Ketchikan, Valdez, Petersburg, Haines and Prince Rupert among others. Nearly all voyages of eight nights or longer include a glacier day and scenic cruising through Tracy Arm Fjord, and select departures will traverse the famed Inside Passage. Shore experiences scheduled for the Alaska program include privately chartered glacier flights, wilderness landings, small-group Zodiac outings launched directly from the yacht, a cured Alaskan salmon masterclass, a sourdough workshop and Alaskan craft beer tastings, with each voyage hosting two guest speakers drawn from naturalists, conservation specialists, historians, writers, photographers and cultural voices. A highlighted Alaska sailing is an eight-night Vancouver round-trip departing June 28, 2027, with calls in Klawock and Sitka and a Tracy Arm Fjord cruise.
The Asia program comprises four voyages with new turnarounds and ports of call. Seoul, South Korea, is introduced as a new turnaround port and Tianjin is listed as a gateway to Beijing, while northern Japan debuts for the operator with inaugural calls in Otaru and Akita. A highlighted Asia voyage departs April 25, 2027: a 10-night Tokyo to Seoul sailing that calls in Shimizu, Fukuoka and Beijing/Tianjin access points. The Asia deployments are scheduled to bookend the Alaska season on both sides of the calendar.

Luminara’s onboard offering is designed to match the itineraries. Company materials list 226 spacious suites accommodating up to 452 guests, each with a private ocean-view terrace, and features that include The Ritz-Carlton Spa, an extensive wine program, a dynamic marina for direct sea access, expanded pool areas, a Residential Suite, an updated Asian dining concept and a Michael Mina Beach House Middle Eastern concept. The yacht’s float-out was celebrated on January 21, 2025, and Jim Murren, then Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, said, “The float out ceremony is a testament to the unwavering dedication and craftsmanship of everyone involved in the construction of Luminara.” Luminara’s maiden voyage was scheduled as a July 1, 2025, seven-day Barcelona to Rome (Civitavecchia) sailing before repositioning to Asia-Pacific and then Alaska.
For a milestone gift, consider a detailed itinerary: the June 28 eight-night Alaska round-trip for someone fixated on glaciers and wildlife or the April 25 10-night Tokyo to Seoul passage for a couple who collect city and culinary experiences. Travel advisors and bookers can reference the season’s April through October 2027 window and the 21-voyage slate when planning; media or travel professionals can contact the distribution number listed with the announcement at 888-776-0942 for verification or booking questions. Luminara’s 2027 program expands both the geography and the on-board luxury, pairing small-port access in Alaska with newly added Asian gateways and a full slate of enrichment and sea-to-shore programming.
