Riverside Panthers Defeat Camden Central 66-56, End Three-Game Skid

Jack Cupples scored 30 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead Riverside to a 66-56 road win at Camden Central, ending a three-game losing streak and moving the Panthers to 11-15 on the season. The game in Camden marked a late-season victory that keeps Riverside competitive as the regular season closes.

"Camden Central came into Monday's matchup looking for another win against Riverside, but Jack Cupples wouldn't allow it," MaxPreps wrote after Cupples almost posted a double-double with 30 points and nine boards. Cupples has now scored at least one-third of Riverside's points in seven consecutive games, a stretch that carried the Panthers through a trying February slate.

Colt Brooks supplied secondary scoring and interior defense for Riverside, with MaxPreps crediting him with 18 points and his first block of the season in the Camden game. The recap notes the contest was Brooks' third in a row with at least 18 points, following 19 points against Lewis County on Feb. 13 and 28 points versus Perry County on Feb. 12.

Camden Central countered with strong individual efforts that ultimately fell short. Jake Reynoldson finished with 20 points and eight rebounds, extending a personal run of three straight games with 16 or more points. Kade Johnson went 5-for-7 from the floor and tallied 13 points and seven assists, while Jake Barker contributed four points and four steals in the loss.
