Sharie Linke Hosts March 10 Trip Talk Previewing Upcoming Bemidji Bus Trips
Sharie Linke will preview Bemidji Senior Center’s 2026 bus trips at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at 216 Third St. NW; the free, public event will include homemade treats.

Sharie Linke, the Bemidji Senior Center’s tour director, will present a spring 2026 Trip Talk at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, at the Bemidji Senior Center, 216 Third St. NW in downtown Bemidji, previewing upcoming one-day and multi-day bus trips for members and other older adults. The talk is free and open to the public; you don't have to be a member or senior to attend. “Come and enjoy homemade treats while hearing about all the fabulous adventures and destinations planned for 2026,” a release said.
The center’s volunteer feature lists Linke as the 2025 Volunteer of the Year and lays out her role organizing bus travel. “This week we feature our 2025 Volunteer of the Year Sharie Linke. Sharie organizes our bus trips ranging from one day to longer trips including the National Parks. This takes a lot of prep time and she also guides many of the trips. These trips bring members together, forge new friendships, and create wonderful memories. She also is a Hostess at the front desk and bakes very yummy treats. Sharie’s warmth, friendly nature, and ready smile make everyone feel welcome. Thank you Sharie for your dedication and service to the Bemidji Senior Center.”
Trip Talk sessions have followed a repeatable format at the center: a short presentation, printed flyers for upcoming trips, and sign-up sheets at the front desk. A winter 2025 Trip Talk post laid out that pattern explicitly: “Come to the Senior Center on Thursday, January 23 at 9:30 a.m. to find out what’s coming up for one-day and multi-day trips in 2025. There will be a short presentation as well as flyers for all the upcoming trips. Enjoy a sweet treat and cup of coffee too! Please put your name on the sign-up sheet available at the Senior Center or give us a call to let us know you’re coming. We are located at 216 3rd St NW in downtown Bemidji.”
The March 10 announcement provides no list of specific destinations or a phone number for RSVPs in the release copy, though past posts encouraged signing up in person or calling the center. The center’s public materials also reference other programming: a bus trip to the Reif in Grand Rapids listed for Saturday, January 18th and a winter Rummage & Bake Sale scheduled Friday January 24th and Saturday January 25th, with proceeds benefiting the Bemidji Senior Center.
One internal content header spells Linke’s name as “Sherie Linke,” while event notices use “Sharie Linke.” The March 10 Trip Talk will be the next chance for attendees at 216 Third St. NW to pick up printed flyers and ask about specific 2026 itineraries, sign-up procedures, and any fees for the bus trips themselves.
