Silver Moon Flea Market on Route 15 to Close May 10, 2026
The Route 15 Flea Market - known as Silver Moon - will hold its final Sunday market on May 10, 2026, after operating since 1989; vendors will pack up and several lots along Route 15 are being sold for development.

The Route 15 Flea Market, also called the Silver Moon Flea Market, will close its flea-market operations after the Sunday market on May 10, 2026, co-owner Andrew Keister said. The market will continue to welcome visitors Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. through that final date.
The outdoor market sits on Silvermoon Lane off U.S. Route 15 in Kelly Township just outside Lewisburg on the former Silver Moon Drive-In Theatre site and has operated since 1989. Keister said the market has run for roughly 37 years at the current location and that vendors will cease traditional flea-market activity after May 10.
Keister cited a drop in vendor participation tied to online competition and demographic turnover. "We noticed in the last few years a decline in vendors for the flea market with the rise of the internet and Amazon to sell their wares," he said, adding, "Some of the vendors have either retired or passed away." Those factors, he said, contributed to the decision to end the weekly vendor market.
Land sales and planned road work are reshaping the property around the flea market. Keister said six of the 13 acres in that stretch of Kelly Township were either sold or are for sale for development, and Horizon Federal Credit Union purchased a two-acre lot where it plans to build a bank. "There's also been some development in the area with different chain restaurants and stuff moving in, so we decided to make some space along Route 15 for selling off some lots for those businesses," Keister said. He also noted a new road will be constructed between Walmart and Perkins that cuts through the area occupied by the outdoor market.

Owners plan to keep and relocate several on-site businesses rather than shutter them. The Silvermoon Shop and Dine will move across the road into the banquet facility, increasing from about 4,000 square feet to an 8,000 square foot space and adding banquet rooms, Keister said. The Silver Moon Antique Mall will relocate into the Antique Barn near Silvermoon Furniture. Family ownership runs through the business: Andrew Keister is co-owner of Silvermoon Development and operates the market with his sisters. Their parents, Arthur Keister Jr. and Sandra or "Sandy" Keister, ran a restaurant at a flea market near the current McDonald's site in the 1980s; vendors asked them to open a market in Lewisburg, which led to the current site opening in 1989.
Keister invited the public to visit the remaining Sundays and signaled continuity for relocated businesses. "Please remember, you're still welcome to still come up on Sundays, there's plenty to see and do, we just won't have the vendors here for the flea market," he said. Owners said they are excited about the changes and intend to keep the restaurant, antique mall and furniture store operating in new on-site locations as Route 15 evolves.
