Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy preview lists 219 CAS, 245 build items
Sims Community published a full catalogue preview showing roughly 219 CAS items and 245 build/buy objects for The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy, a deep look ahead of the Feb 12 release.

Sims Community published a full catalogue preview on February 4, 2026 that aggregates creator-capture thumbnails and counts roughly 219 new Create-A-Sim items and about 245 build and buy objects coming with The Sims 4: Royalty & Legacy. That inventory gives players an advance look at hairstyles, royal outfits, furniture and interactive pieces ahead of the pack’s February 12 release and the Grand Bundle promotional window.
EA is offering a free Grand Bundle upgrade from January 15 through March 15, 2026 that bundles the Expansion Pack with the Regal Treasures Digital Content and two kits named Tea Time Solarium and Silver Screen Style. EA calls out specific Regal Treasures items such as “A Crown of Leaves and Sparkles,” an Enemies to Lovers Practice Dummy, and an Under the Stars Lantern. EA also pitches new fantasy hooks by noting that “Powershifts add fantasy, storybook twists to your royal tale.”
Create-A-Sim additions total about 219 items and include new hairstyles available for Toddlers and up, head accessories, jewelry and a line of regal outfits. Sims Community highlights Africana fashion meant to reflect Dambele style, though clothing swatches could not be inspected in the preview thumbnails. Creator videos on YouTube provide supplemental visual walkthroughs of the CAS catalogue for players who want close-ups before release.

Build and Buy inventory clocks in at about 245 items and stretches from a new kitchen set with counters and islands to gilded chairs, couches, dressers, fresco wallpapers, windows and world items intended for luxury villas. Decorative motifs include wisteria-draped gates and railings, glamorous bassinets and fountains, and beds described as allowing “a noble nap.” Sims can place palatial elements or build their own palaces on empty lots near the pack’s castles.
A handful of interactive objects stand out. Players can purchase only two Thrones that enable Sims to become royal and control kingdom elements while ranking up. Polygon called the limited number of seats out loud: “There are only two thrones, which feels like an absurd choice for a DLC with ‘royalty’ in the title, but there are other luxurious items that lessen the blow.” The cuckoo clock earns high marks for interactivity; Polygon labeled it “one of the DLC’s most versatile new items,” noting it can serve as a Woohoo spot, a death and exploration mechanic, secret passageways and even a sabotage target in play examples involving Sims named Tybalt and Kaitlynn. Polygon also reported a small boat interaction snag: “A new boat is also included, though it’s a bit lackluster; I’m not sure if it’s a glitch, but when I took Kaitlynn out to sea and selected the ‘lounge’ interaction, she just went to sleep sitting up despite having full energy.”

Royal gameplay centers on choice and progression. Royalty functions like a career path where families elect royal status, build Charisma and the new Swordsmanship skill, and complete daily duties to ascend ranks. EA details Swordsmanship as a level 10 Skill used for duels, promotions and tournament play at Gazebos, and lists Powershift features like pulling the Sword In Stone and consulting an Enchanted Mirror.
Players who want everything should expect the Sims Community thumbnails to show the bulk of visible items but also watch post-launch for additional debug objects in the buydebug and showliveeditobjects catalogues. With the pack and Grand Bundle arriving in mid-February, check the thumbnail galleries and creator previews now to plan royal wardrobes, build lists and roleplay plots, and be ready to uncover extra pieces and post-launch fixes after release.
