Tickets for 167th King's Plate on Sale for August 15
Tickets for the 167th King’s Plate went on sale March 6; general admission starts at $35 CAD and the $1 million race runs Aug. 15 at Woodbine Racetrack, Toronto.

Tickets for the 167th King’s Plate went on sale to the public March 6, Woodbine Entertainment announced in a press release credited to Grace Martin. The event is set for Saturday, August 15 at Woodbine Racetrack, 555 Rexdale Boulevard, Toronto, with post time listed on the Woodbine event page as 11:30 A.M. ET; primary purchase channels are KingsPlate.com and Ticketmaster.
Woodbine’s release makes clear there are multiple price points and experiences, while confirming the only published price is general admission starting at $35 CAD. “Tickets start at $35 CAD (plus taxes and fees) for general admission, granting access to the grandstand and apron, where guests can enjoy the racing action from the rail,” the release states. Reserved Grandstand, Paddock Club, Loge box seating and premium dining packages are listed as options on the event page, though specific premium pricing was not published in the announcement.
All ticketholders receive access to the Hats & Horseshoes outdoor festival that will run alongside the day’s card. Woodbine described the festival this way: “All ticketholders also get access to the fan-favourite Hats & Horseshoes outdoor festival featuring live DJs, betting zones, large viewing screens, pop-up bars, food trucks, photo ops, and more.” The Paris Texas Clubhouse is returning as a named hospitality zone; Woodbine’s release calls it “the lively Paris Texas Clubhouse, hosted by the popular Toronto bar Paris Texas. This high-energy 19+ party zone offers impressive views of the racetrack’s first turn.”
The headline on-track attraction remains the race itself: Woodbine and Equibase material note that “The iconic Plate is North America's oldest continuously race stakes race and is contested for a purse of $1 million.” Woodbine framed the King’s Plate as the first leg of the Canadian Triple Crown and promised a day of “exceptional race-day hospitality, standout fashion, and lively entertainment.”

Logistics published on Woodbine’s event details page include free parking for attendees and a paid valet service, plus an option to “Dine with Us” in all-inclusive dining rooms. The Woodbine press block lists the racetrack address as 555 Rexdale Blvd., Toronto, Ontario, and provides a contact number listed in the release as (416) 675-7223.
Woodbine Entertainment positioned the ticket announcement as the start of public sales after announcing the Aug. 15 date on Feb. 18; the March 6 press release has been republished widely across racing trade outlets. The company’s newsroom copy also highlights Woodbine Entertainment’s broader role operating Woodbine Racetrack and Woodbine Mohawk Park, its ownership of HPIbet, and a mandate to reinvest profits into the racing industry and the roughly 25,000 jobs it supports across Ontario.
