Two Melissa ISD Elementary Students Struck by Vehicle Near Sumeer Elementary

Two elementary students who attend Sumeer Elementary in Melissa were struck by a vehicle while riding bicycles to school at the intersection of Eaglestone Drive and Valley Run at about 7:50 a.m. on March 2, 2026, Melissa Police Department said. The collision occurred in the neighborhood near the school in Melissa, Collin County, and both children were transported to a hospital with conditions described by multiple reports as non-life-threatening.
