Two Men Shot at Touchdown Sports Bar on New Bern Avenue

Two men were shot inside Touchdown Sports Bar at 3601 New Bern Ave in Raleigh just before 5 a.m., and both later arrived at WakeMed with gunshot wounds, local police and broadcasters reported. WTVD said, "Just before 5 a.m., Raleigh police officers responded to a shooting that happened inside Touchdown Sports Bar on New Bern Avenue." WTVD also reported, "The two men later arrived at WakeMed with gunshot wounds sustained at the scene. Both are expected to recover."

WRAL reported officers with the Raleigh Police Department responded "around 5 a.m." and said the victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries. WRAL's Breaking News Tracker arrived by 7 a.m.; reporters observed crime scene tape up and officers walking around outside the building as investigators processed the scene.

No arrests have been announced. WTVD noted, "No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing with no further details available at this time."
