VisionF Yachts’ flagship VISIONF 101 completed first sea trials in Tuzla Bay and outperformed pre-trial expectations, exceeding 20 knots while carrying realistic operational loads and demonstrating an estimated range of more than 4,000 nautical miles. The 30.7-metre aluminium-hulled catamaran ran through Sea State 4 conditions with 10-knot northeasterly winds, air temperature 6°C and sea temperature 10°C, with fresh water tanks at 75 percent and grey and black water tanks fully loaded.

Trial performance under those loads was strong: all onboard systems operated smoothly and reliably while the vessel reached speeds above 20 knots, a notable jump from the shipyard’s earlier anticipated top speed of 17 knots. The yacht is driven by four Volvo Penta D13 IPS 1350 units, a quad-IPS layout that delivers both forward speed and close-quarters manoeuvrability, and contributes to the shipyard’s claim of long-range capability. Fuel capacity is 18,000 litres, and VisionF’s spec sheet lists a lightship displacement of 190 tonnes and loaded displacement of 215 tonnes.

The VISIONF 101 positions itself as a long-range, high-volume cruising platform rather than a coastal-only toy. The vessel’s shallow design draft of 1.45 m and a beam overall of 12.8 m give practical access to nearshore anchorages and secluded bays while still offering trans-Mediterranean reach. The shipyard underlined that “The [model] is for a Mediterranean boat capable of both ambitious crossings between cruising grounds, and long holidays involving coastal hops between harbours and anchorages,” and added that “She could easily manage Capri to Porto Cervo in a day, for example, or Messina to Corfu.”

Interior volume is a headline: a 103 m² main saloon, a 132 m² flybridge with a large jacuzzi, a 30 m² master suite and five owner-configurable guest cabins give the boat the scale of a small superyacht. VisionF’s marketing copy pitches the model as a top-end experience: “Step aboard VISIONF 101 and immerse yourself in the grandeur of VISIONF Yachts’ top-end model, where extraordinary meets the sea!” On deck the package includes a jet ski garage, plumb bow and low-profile superstructure aimed at combining style with function.

Some technical points remain to be clarified. Media descriptions differ over the roof material, with some accounts saying a custom carbon fibre hardtop and others citing a fiberglass roof. Megayachtnews also referenced “215 gross tons,” which appears to conflate loaded displacement and gross tonnage terminology used elsewhere. Final works are scheduled to be completed within the next two months, with delivery to the owner to follow shortly after, pending final certification and documentation.

For owners and brokers watching the multihull market, VISIONF 101 is significant: a RINA commercial-classed, 101-foot power catamaran that delivers unexpected speed, true long-range capability and superyacht volume in a shallow-draft multihull package. Confirmed trial logs, roof-material clarification and official gross tonnage figures are the next items to watch as the yacht moves from trials into final outfitting and delivery.
