Thomas Milic made 30 saves for his second consecutive shutout as the Manitoba Moose defeated the Abbotsford Canucks 4-0 at Rogers Forum on Tuesday, improving to 27-19-5-1 on the season. The performance extended Milic's remarkable run to 61 consecutive saves, and according to ProHockeyNews, his second shutout of the season now stands as a new career-high.

The first period belonged to the penalty box and the goalies. Five entries hit the scoresheet in the opening 20 minutes, every one of them a penalty, producing three power-play opportunities: two for Abbotsford and one for Manitoba. The Canucks controlled the shot clock by an 11-3 margin in the frame, yet Milic and Abbotsford netminder Jiří Patera were each perfect, leaving the game scoreless after one.

Manitoba turned the territorial edge around in the third period, outshooting Abbotsford 9-7. Chibrikov opened the scoring at 7:01 on a power play, giving the Moose their second man-advantage goal in the past three games. Two minutes later, defenceman Isaak Phillips drilled a point shot to push the lead to 4-0 and put the contest beyond reach.

Moose forward Jacob Julien acknowledged the slow start but credited the team's ability to adjust. "I think we got off to a little bit of a slower start than we wanted, but we bounced back and continuously got better throughout the game and won the game," Julien said.

Beyond the shutout itself, Manitoba's penalty killers continued a strong stretch of their own, remaining perfect on the kill for the third consecutive game. Phil Di Giuseppe carried a three-game point streak into the contest at 1 goal and 2 assists, with four points across his past five games. Parker Ford also entered on a three-game point streak, matching Di Giuseppe's 1-goal, 2-assist line over that run.

The Moose came into the game riding momentum from a 1-0 win over the Toronto Marlies on Sunday, their second straight win over Toronto after a 3-2 victory the previous Friday. The Abbotsford Canucks, meanwhile, fell to 21-31-3-3 with the loss.
