Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing has set its Friday Night Throwdown League for Aug. 7, with practice beginning at 6:00 p.m. and competition starting at 7:00 p.m. at its Greensburg location in Westmoreland Mall. The July 30 video promoting the night pointed throwers to sign up at ValhallaSavage.com and framed the league as the venue’s favorite night of the week.

The booking details give players a clear cost check before they walk in. A Square listing for Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing shows an Axe League service priced at $130.00, while a separate Greensburg listing for Valhalla Indoor Axe Throwing Westmoreland Mall shows a 24-player setup, doors opening at 8:30 a.m., competition starting at 9:30 a.m., and a $125.00 cost. Taken together, the listings show that Valhalla is running more than one league format and price point through the same venue.

The Greensburg site sits inside Westmoreland Mall, and Valhalla’s own pages include a dedicated Leagues page and a local page for axe throwing at the mall. The company also says the Greensburg location handles large-group events of more than 16 people and private axe-throwing parties for up to 50, which puts the league night inside a broader calendar of competitive and social bookings. Valhalla’s brand stretches beyond Pennsylvania, with location pages for Greensburg, Mt. Pleasant, Asheville and the Inland Empire in California, underscoring that this is part of a multi-site operation rather than a single-room attraction.

Valhalla has used league programming before as a recurring participation engine. A May 22, 2021 post promoted a Valkyrie Marathon Axe Throwing League at the Clay County location and described a marathon league as an eight-week season. That history matters because league nights are where the sport tends to build rhythm, regulars and repeat lanes, not just one-off walk-ins.

The Friday night slot also sits inside a larger organized sport. The World Axe Throwing League describes itself as the global governing body of axe throwing and says it has more than 300 affiliated venues across 20 countries. WATL’s 2026 Season 3 runs July 13 through Sept. 13, and the 10th World Axe & Knife Throwing Championship is scheduled for April 2027 in Appleton, Wisconsin.
