Snowden and Connolly end Boarder Patrol’s Wayne cornhole reign

Gilbert Snowden and Tom Connolly ended Boarder Patrol’s Wayne cornhole run with a dominant Pro Division championship at Wayne’s 6th Annual Cornhole League finals on July 1, 2026. The pair lost only once in 30 games, beat every top playoff team they faced and turned the Village Inn boards into the site of a clear changing of the guard.

Snowden and Connolly closed the title path in emphatic fashion. They opened the finals by beating Bag to the Future 23-0 and 24-4, then moved past the Wood Chuckers 22-6 and 21-5 before finishing off Saggy Bagz in two games to secure the crown. The run was as one-sided as the season behind it, with Snowden and Connolly unbeaten against the best teams in the playoff field and Boarder Patrol, the two-time defending champion, left in third place.

The Pro Division finale shared the night with the Fun Division, which was staged at Outback Steakhouse while the top bracket played at the Village Inn. That split venue setup gave the league’s closing round the feel of a summer showcase, but the scoreboard still separated the teams that had built real momentum from the rest of the field.

Paterson’s Bravist claimed the Fun Division title with a roster of Steve Ali, Joe Ramos, Carlos Miranda and Ike Feliciano. Breaking Bags finished second and Toss Your Cookies took third, rounding out a podium that matched the Pro Division’s competitive edge even if the stakes were different.

Prizes reflected the league’s sponsor-backed format. Paterson’s Bravist earned $200 in Visa gift cards, the Fun Division runners-up received $100 in Outback Steakhouse gift cards, and the third-place team got a free registration for next year. Between the restaurant venues, the two divisions and the clean playoff results, Wayne’s league ended with Snowden and Connolly setting the new standard at the top and Boarder Patrol pushed off it.
