H2O Sports opens UK’s first official Duotone Test Centre at Sandbanks
H2O Sports made Sandbanks the UK’s first official Duotone Test Centre, letting riders try wing, kite, windsurf and SUP gear before they buy.

H2O Sports has given Sandbanks a new kind of launchpad. On April 30, 2026, the shop announced that it had become the UK’s first official Duotone Test Centre, turning its base alongside The Watersports Academy into a place where riders can get gear dialed in and test it on the water before spending serious money.
That matters because the setup is bigger than a standard retail counter. H2O Sports said the demo fleet covers wing, kite, windsurf and SUP equipment, so the centre is aimed at more than one corner of the sport. For riders coming out of lessons, that means less guesswork on the first purchase. For experienced foilers, it means a chance to compare board feel, mast stiffness, foil lift and wing response in real water rather than trying to decode the difference from a spec sheet.
The Duotone line-up on offer is deep enough to make the point. The wing range includes the Unit, Unit SLS, Unit SLS Concept Blue, Float SLS, Ventis FS and Stash V2. The mast options run through Aero AL 3BS, Aero Mid QM SLS and Slim 2.0 D/Lab. On the foil side, riders can look at the Free 2.0, Glide 2.0 SLS and Crest D/Lab Monobloc D/Lab, while the board list includes Skybrid, Skybrid SLS and Start Free. H2O Sports says the idea is to make the right setup choice in person, with staff help and on-water feedback.

The location is part of the story too. The centre sits at 15 Banks Road in Sandbanks, Poole Harbour, BH13 7PS, alongside The Watersports Academy, which describes itself as Poole Harbour’s premier centre and one of the largest on the South Coast. That puts the test centre in one of the UK’s most established watersports corridors, with beach access, harbour water and a built-in stream of riders already moving through the area.
H2O Sports has been building toward this for a while. An earlier move announcement said the company was joining The Watersports Academy as part of a new chapter and a community hub, and the business said it was founded in spring 2004. The test-centre launch looks like the next step in that reset, not a one-off showroom stunt.

There is also precedent for Sandbanks as a demo site. In 2023, H2O Sports teamed with Tonic Mag for the Sandbanks Weekender, bringing Duotone demo kit and a launch-party feel to Poole Harbour. The official test-centre status now formalizes a role the shop has already been playing: a regional stop where riders can test, compare and commit with a lot less risk.
