IHSAA Boys Basketball State Finals Set for March 28 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse
All four IHSAA boys basketball state championship games are set for March 28 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, with 24 semi-state games across eight sites this Saturday.

The IHSAA confirmed during semistate week that all four boys state championship games will be held Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in downtown Indianapolis, with the semi-state round this Saturday serving as the final obstacle standing between 24 programs and a shot at a title.
Pairings for the semi-state round were determined by random draw, with the schedule unveiled Sunday. The 24 games span eight sites across Indiana, each following the same three-game format: morning semifinal, midday semifinal, and an evening championship game to decide who advances to the March 28 finale at Gainbridge.
Two of the marquee Class 4A matchups take place at Elkhart's North Side Gymnasium. Northridge, carrying a 25-1 record into the tournament, opens against Homestead (20-6) at 10 a.m. EDT. At noon, Crown Point (23-1) faces Fort Wayne Snider (20-7). The Class 4A championship at that site tips at 8 p.m. EDT, with the two winners meeting for the regional berth.
At the other end of the classification spectrum, the Class 1A semi-state plays out at Washington's Hatchet House. Barr-Reeve (25-1) takes on Liberty Christian (19-7) in the 10 a.m. EDT opener, while Bloomfield (19-8) and Hauser (25-2) square off at noon. That championship game is also scheduled for 8 p.m. EDT. The full schedule for all eight sites, including the Class 4A bracket at New Castle Fieldhouse, contains the remaining 18 games not detailed in the excerpts released.

Tickets for Saturday's semi-state round are priced at $12 per person per session. Children five and younger are admitted free.
The confirmation of Gainbridge Fieldhouse as the March 28 finals venue comes as the IHSAA also marks 50 years of girls state finals championships, a milestone the association highlighted with official imagery distributed during semistate week. The boys finals will bring all four classification championship games under one roof at the home of the NBA's Indiana Pacers, a setting that has become synonymous with Indiana's deep basketball tradition.
