Angel City’s Rocket Queens did exactly what a higher seed is supposed to do in a playoff bracket: they settled the game early and never let Bradentucky smell an upset, rolling to a 224-126 win in the Ontario playoffs at Waterloo Memorial Recreation Complex. The 98-point margin gave the No. 10 seed a clean, confidence-building finish in Waterloo and kept its postseason run pointed in the right direction.

WFTDA had the Rocket Queens seeded 10th in Ontario with a 734.6 rating, just ahead of Bradentucky’s No. 12 seed and 704.3 rating, and the final score tracked that gap almost perfectly. In a field that also included Montréal New Skids on the Block at No. 1, Calgary at No. 2, Queen City at No. 3 and Tri-City Thunder at No. 4, Angel City imposed its level instead of getting dragged into a scrap.

The Ontario tournament ran June 5-7, 2026, in Waterloo, Ontario, and was hosted by Tri-City Roller Derby. Angel City Derby’s Rocket Queens represented California, while Bradentucky Bombers represented Florida, and both teams had already worked through the same opening-day path before meeting in the bracket. Rocket Queens opened Friday at 10 a.m. against Orlando Ozone Slayers, while Bradentucky opened Friday at 4 p.m. against SoCal The Kraken, which set up a Sunday meeting with very little mystery about how the bracket had sorted itself.
