Buffalo stuns Rochester 7-5 in 10 innings on the road

Buffalo turned a mismatch on paper into a 7-5, 10-inning road win over Rochester at Innovative Field, and the scoreboard mattered less than the way the Bisons survived the final outs. Rochester entered at 53-38 to Buffalo’s 44-49, yet the Bisons kept answering in a game that never settled into the script the standings suggested.

Rochester also beat Buffalo 4-2 in another recent meeting and later took a 7-2 decision, but this one belonged to the Bisons once the game went beyond nine innings and the pressure shifted to the bullpens and the final matchup decisions.
