Charlotte Knights announce 150-game 2026 schedule, Opening Knight March 27
The Charlotte Knights released their full 2026 Triple-A schedule: a 150-game slate with 75 home dates and Opening Knight on March 27 at Truist Field against the Durham Bulls.

The Charlotte Knights unveiled a 150-game regular season with 75 home dates at Truist Field, highlighting an Opening Knight weekend that kicks off on Friday, March 27 with a 7:04 p.m. first pitch against the in-state rival Durham Bulls. The three-game series March 27–29 sets the tone for a season that returns the Bulls to Uptown for a six-game set Aug. 4–9.
The schedule balances tradition, community programming, and a few notable firsts. The Knights will honor Charlotte’s 704 area code with 33 home dates set for a 7:04 p.m. start. Weekday, school-year fans see 11 home games at 6:35 p.m. split across five Tuesdays and six Wednesdays, with the first such evening scheduled for Tuesday, April 7 when the Memphis Redbirds arrive for a six-game homestand that runs April 7–12. Saturday nights largely follow a 6:05 p.m. pattern, with 12 of 13 Saturdays at that time and the lone exception on Saturday, Sept. 17 at 5:35 p.m. versus the Buffalo Bisons. Sunday home games are split into seven 1:05 p.m. starts and six 5:05 p.m. starts. Three morning games at 11:05 a.m. are tied to school and youth programming.
Education and youth engagement are explicit priorities. Education Days are slated for Tuesday, April 21 against the Nashville Sounds and Wednesday, April 29 versus the Gwinnett Stripers, and a Camp Day is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10 when the Oklahoma City Comets visit. The Comets make a significant appearance June 9–14 in what is billed as the Knights’ only interleague series of the year; it is the first-ever trip by the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate to Truist Field. The Comets join the series with PCL pedigree, having won the Pacific Coast League championship in 2023.
Affiliation matchups that stand out on the home calendar include Durham as the Rays’ Triple-A affiliate, Memphis as the Cardinals’ Triple-A affiliate, Gwinnett as the Braves’ Triple-A affiliate, Buffalo as the Blue Jays’ Triple-A affiliate, and Oklahoma City as the Dodgers’ Triple-A affiliate. Two Tuesday home games are set for 6:05 p.m. starts: April 28 versus Gwinnett and June 9 versus Oklahoma City.
Beyond game dates and times, the schedule underscores how Triple-A clubs are refining the fan experience to fit modern attendance patterns and community needs. The 7:04 p.m. starts are a branding play that ties the team to local identity, while the cluster of morning Education and Camp Days shows a sustained investment in youth outreach and school partnerships. Hosting 75 home dates across 12 seasons at Truist Field also keeps economic activity steady for Uptown restaurants, hotels, and small businesses that benefit from game nights.
The release marks the Knights’ 12th season at Truist Field and the fifth straight year operating a 150-game Triple-A slate. Roster construction, promotions, and pitching rotations will fill out the narrative between now and Opening Knight; until then, the schedule gives fans, schools, and regional partners a clear map of when baseball returns to Uptown Charlotte and which dates promise special events and rivalry drama.
