Jett Williams hits walk-off three-run homer, lifts Nashville past Norfolk, 7-4
Jett Williams turned a tense ninth into a showcase, crushing a walk-off three-run homer for Nashville and giving the Brewers a fresh look at his growing power.

Jett Williams changed the game with one swing, driving a walk-off three-run homer in the bottom of the ninth and lifting the Nashville Sounds past the Norfolk Tides, 7-4, at First Horizon Park. The blast scored Jeferson Quero and Luis Lara and gave Williams his third home run of the season.
For the Brewers’ No. 3 prospect, it was more than a dramatic finish. It was another marker that his early Triple-A production is starting to match the reputation that helped make him a central piece in the January trade that sent Freddy Peralta and Tobias Myers to the Mets in exchange for Williams and Brandon Sproat. Williams’ first chance in the Brewers’ system did not open with immediate impact, but the power is beginning to show up in ways Milwaukee has been waiting to see.
The homer also added to a quick April surge. Williams had already gone deep for his first home run of the season on April 18 and his second on April 26, giving him three long balls before the calendar flipped into May. At the time of the homer, he had also stolen five bases and spent time at third base, shortstop and center field, a reminder that his value is not built on power alone. The question now is whether the pop becomes a real part of his profile rather than a short burst.

Nashville got plenty of help around him. Jeferson Quero finished with two doubles and two RBI, keeping pressure on Norfolk throughout the game before Williams delivered the final blow. The Sounds’ lineup also drew extra attention because of rehab appearances from Andrew Vaughn and Jackson Chourio, but it was Williams who authored the moment that ended it.
MLB.com called the homer a signature moment after the trade, and that feels fitting for a player whose value to Milwaukee rests on upside, versatility and the possibility that the bat is starting to catch up with the pedigree. If Williams keeps turning these early Triple-A flashes into consistent damage, his route toward Milwaukee will start looking a lot shorter.
