Joey Chestnut to Headline Oklahoma City Comets' Cinco de Mayo Food Challenge

Joey Chestnut, the 42-year-old competitive eater nicknamed "Jaws," will headline a Cinco de Mayo food challenge at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark when the Oklahoma City Comets host the Salt Lake Bees on Tuesday, May 5 at 6:05 p.m. The Comets, the Triple-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, placed the Chestnut appearance squarely inside a busy promotional night that also includes Bark in the Park and the team's $2 Tuesday deals on select beers, sodas and bottled water.

Comets General Manager Kyle Daugherty framed Chestnut's visit as a marquee attraction for the club and its fans. “As the Triple‑A affiliate of the reigning back‑to‑back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers, we know what greatness looks like,” said Daugherty. “In the world of competitive eating, nobody has ever been greater than Joey Chestnut.
