Oklahoma City Comets Host Free Fan Fest at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark March 14

Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark threw open its gates Saturday evening as the Oklahoma City Comets staged "Comets Under the Big Top," a free Fan Fest that mixed circus-style carnival attractions with St. Patrick's Day festivities ahead of the Triple-A club's 2026 season opener.

The event ran from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and gave fans a rare look behind the scenes, including guided tours of the ballpark and the Comets clubhouse. Out on the field, guests took swings at baseball golf, competing for prizes that included Comets merchandise. Carnival games, bounce houses, inflatable games, face painting, and balloon twisting rounded out the family-oriented programming, while live music played throughout the evening.

The St. Patrick's Day timing shaped a distinct slice of the night's offerings: green beer for guests 21 and older, cup pong, and other themed activities gave the event a dual identity as both a season kickoff and a holiday celebration. Ballpark concessions, including Dippin' Dots, were available for purchase, and the OKC Comets Team Store was open for merchandise sales.

One of the more practical draws was the Select-A-Seat setup, which allowed attendees to walk the seating bowl and pick their preferred spots for 2026 home games before purchasing tickets. Free parking for the event was available in the Joe Carter Lot at the northeast corner of Reno and Joe Carter Avenues.

The Fan Fest served as a two-week runway to the Comets' first home game of 2026: a 7:05 p.m. contest on Friday, March 27 against the Albuquerque Isotopes at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark.
