Phillies Triple-A Players Head to Allentown as IronPigs Near Opener
Dylan Campbell hit a 398-foot, 104-mph blast in Spring Breakout as the Phillies' Triple-A players arrived in Allentown ahead of the IronPigs' March 27 opener vs. Toledo.

The Phillies' minor league camp broke last week with a clear sense of purpose: Triple-A players have already arrived in Allentown, where Opening Day at Coca-Cola Park is set for Friday, March 27, when the IronPigs host the Toledo Mud Hens. The roster shuffle that precedes every minor league season opener is fully underway, with Jersey Shore BlueClaws- and Reading-bound players also heading north this weekend.
Before the camps dispersed, outfielder Dylan Campbell delivered the most memorable moment of the Phillies' spring prospect slate. Campbell hit a two-run home run to left field in the top of the fourth inning during the Spring Breakout game on March 19, giving the Phillies a 3-2 lead over the Twins' prospects. The ball left his bat at 104.3 mph exit velocity, with a 19-degree launch angle, and traveled 398 feet. Campbell ground out a seven-pitch at-bat before crushing a middle-middle fastball over the wall. His 2025 production — 14 home runs and 33 steals across two levels — backs up the power-speed profile.
Campbell came to the Phillies from the Dodgers in a trade that sent international bonus pool money to Los Angeles. He has since been activated by the Reading Fightin Phils, having been assigned there from the Jersey Shore BlueClaws. That organizational path makes him one of the more intriguing names to track as both Double-A and Single-A rosters take shape in the coming days.
The spring game schedule from March 18-20 also included multiple games against Toronto, Minnesota, the Yankees, and Detroit across the Phillies' various affiliate levels. The Phillies faced Minnesota's top prospects in Fort Myers on March 19, and Toronto's prospects played the Phillies in Clearwater on March 21.
For those making the trip to catch early-season action, the Jersey Shore BlueClaws and Reading will play March 31 in Reading, with tickets priced at $5. The IronPigs will play a 150-game season with 75 home games and 75 road games, giving Phillies fans in the Lehigh Valley a full slate to look forward to after Friday's opener against Toledo. First pitch at Coca-Cola Park is scheduled for 6:05 p.m.
