The Reno Aces and SK Baseball have poured more than $10.5 million into renovations at Greater Nevada Field ahead of the 2026 Triple-A season, with the centerpiece a new exterior videoboard roughly 31 feet wide by 18 feet tall that will face the stadium’s front lawn at the corner of Evans Avenue and Second Street and is expected to be installed by May 2026.

Most of the ballpark’s player-facing and fan-facing work is scheduled to be completed before the club’s Opening Day on March 27, 2026, while the videoboard timeline extends into May. The upgrades explicitly slated for the pre-Opening Day window include bullpen renovations that will replace grass with turf, a remodeled home clubhouse, and an updated batter’s eye in center field.

Fan amenities and stadium aesthetics are also part of the program. The Aces plan to install or replace the feature known as Mr. Baseball in center field, add updated signage and artwork throughout the ballpark, paint new murals including on the overhangs at both entrance gates, and install new netting around the entire field to change the ballpark sightlines and safety profile.

Aces president Eric Edelstein framed the work as part of an ongoing investment in the venue and downtown Reno. “Greater Nevada Field remains one of Northern Nevada’s premier destination for baseball and entertainment, and these investments reflect our commitment to every stakeholder connected to this ballpark and downtown Reno,” Edelstein said. “From enhanced fan amenities and premium spaces to meaningful upgrades to our clubhouse and field that directly support player development, each improvement is designed to elevate the experience at every level. We’re proud to continue building a best-in-class experience for our community as we head into the 2026 season.”

The Reno Aces remain the Triple-A affiliate of the Arizona Diamondbacks, and the club described the $10.5 million figure as an investment made over the last few years with additional upgrades planned for 2026. SK Baseball is identified as an owner/operator/investor in the renovation effort alongside the club.

Several specific details remain unannounced by the team: the Aces have not published a project-by-project budget breakdown, they have not identified contractors or vendors for the videoboard, turf, murals, or clubhouse work, and the club has not provided exact completion dates beyond the broad targets of March 27 for most work and May for the exterior screen. Fans should expect most interior and field improvements in place for Opening Day, with the larger exterior videoboard arriving in May 2026.
