Round Rock Express Fan Fest, presented by Intel, will return to Dell Diamond on Saturday, March 21 with free admission and activities designed to reconnect Central Texas fans with the ballpark ahead of the season. The event runs from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and organizers say it is a family-friendly kickoff to the Express’ 26th season.

Fans will get on-field access and baseball-first experiences that Minor League Baseball has leaned on to drive attendance and ticket sales. Catch on the Field invites attendees to bring a glove and ball to play on the outfield grass from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The club’s state-of-the-art Home Run Dugout will be open for swings, the inflatable bull will provide a test of athleticism, and player appearances and mascot photo ops with Spike will punctuate the schedule. Fans can also hop aboard the E-Train with free rides along the outer concourse starting near Section 113.

Food, beverage and merchandise are integral to the day and to the local revenue model. The newly renovated Railyard Team Store will be open for new Express merchandise, and RS3 Strategic Hospitality will debut new menu items at storefronts around Dell Diamond. Beer sampling for ages 21 and older is scheduled from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or until supplies last, with complimentary Budweiser samples courtesy of Brown Distributing available at the Budweiser Beer Garden.

The Express are framing Fan Fest as both entertainment and community service. The club is partnering with the Round Rock Area Serving Center for a donation drive; attendees are asked to bring non-perishable food items to drop off at the Home Plate Gate. Free parking for Fan Fest lowers attendance barriers, while on-site activations such as face painting, balloon twisters, caricature artists and character meet-and-greets featuring Captain America and Snow White aim to broaden the ballpark’s family appeal.

“As the 2026 season approaches, we are excited to get back into the baseball spirit and welcome the community to a day of free entertainment at Fan Fest,” the Round Rock Express organization said in its release. The calendar note for baseball fans: the Express’ home opener at Dell Diamond is slated for Tuesday, March 31 against the Gwinnett Stripers, the Atlanta Braves affiliate, at 7:05 p.m.

From a business perspective, Fan Fest is emblematic of a wider MiLB trend toward experience-driven marketing that leverages sponsorships and gameday hospitality to sell season memberships, premium plans and concessions. Intel’s presenting sponsorship and the presence of corporate partners such as Brown Distributing reflect how minor league clubs package local fan access with national brands. MiLB listings also identify the Texas Rangers in the team’s affiliation line, a reminder of the developmental pipeline that fuels Triple-A rosters.

For fans planning to attend, Fan Fest offers a low-cost reintroduction to the ballpark, a chance to scope out season-seat options and an opportunity to support local food security efforts. For ticket or event questions, the club directs fans to RRExpress.com or (512) 255-2255, and to follow the Express on Facebook, Instagram and X for updates.
