Storm Chasers Edge Bisons 4-3, Secure Series Win at Werner Park
Gavin Cross's two-run single and Ryan Ramsey's 5-inning gem lifted Omaha past Buffalo 4-3, clinching the series in the Bisons' first trip to Werner Park since 1997.

A three-run second inning and 5.0 innings of one-run ball from Ryan Ramsey propelled the Omaha Storm Chasers past the Buffalo Bisons 4-3 on Sunday afternoon at Werner Park, giving Omaha the series victory.
The Bisons scored first but were unable to overcome a deficit on the afternoon. Five of the first six batters reached against Storm Chasers starter Ben Kudrna in the top of the first, with RJ Schreck drawing a bases-loaded walk to score Carlos Mendoza for a 1-0 lead. Charles McAdoo doubled the advantage to 2-0 with an RBI base hit on the infield that scored Jonatan Clase.
Omaha answered in the bottom of the second and never looked back. Gavin Cross's two-run base hit tied the game at 2-2, and Brandon Drury followed with an RBI base hit that plated Cross and put the Storm Chasers ahead 3-2. Ramsey took over for Kudrna to begin the third inning, and both teams traded scoreless frames until the fifth.
In the fifth, both teams scored one run each, with the Storm Chasers going up 4-3 after Kameron Misner's sacrifice fly in the bottom half of the frame. Ramsey worked through the seventh before Mason Black came on to close it out, and neither team crossed the plate again.
Buffalo starter CJ Van Eyk worked into the fifth inning, allowing six hits and four runs despite striking out four batters, in what was his second start against Omaha of the week.
Sunday's result capped a back-and-forth weekend at Werner Park. The Storm Chasers had split Saturday's doubleheader with the Bisons, with Buffalo taking the opener 8-0 before Omaha won the nightcap 6-4. The series finale swung decisively in Omaha's favor. The Storm Chasers finished the series at 4-5 on the season; the Bisons fell to 3-6.
The six-game set, which ran from March 31 through April 5, marked the Bisons' first visit to Werner Park and their first time playing in Omaha since 1997. Buffalo now heads home to regroup, while Omaha carries some early-season momentum into its next series.
