The Sugar Land Space Cowboys are ramping up their 2026 fan experience by holding ushertainer auditions Thursday, Feb. 26, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Constellation Field and by unveiling an expanded slate of ticket packages for the coming season. The moves come as the Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros prepares for its title-defending follow-up after winning both the Pacific Coast League Championship and the Triple-A National Championship in 2024.

The club described the role in clear entertainment terms: "Ushertainers are larger-than-life personalities, such as singers, dancers or comedians, whose job is to entertain the crowd at Constellation Field during Space Cowboys games." Audition registration is required in advance via an audition form, with the deadline to submit set for Tuesday, Feb. 24 at 5:00 p.m., according to the team's release materials.

Performers who cannot make the Feb. 26 in-person window still have a pathway onto the ushertainer team. Milb, KHOU and Sports Yahoo all note that candidates with prior entertainment or performance experience may submit a video of a live performance in lieu of attending the audition, so long as "the video must be in front of a live audience." KHOU adds a logistical detail for minors: applicants submitting on behalf of someone under age 18 must include their own contact information when completing the registration form.

Sugar Land promoted the auditions on its official Facebook page with a direct call to performers: "We're looking for energetic, larger-than-life personalities to be part of our Ushertainer team here at Constellation Field this season! Help hype of the crowd and make the fan experience that much more memorable - hit the link below for details and to register for our upcoming auditions on Thursday, February 26!" That post registered 28 reactions, three comments and five shares in the excerpted metrics, with fans such as Melissa Stork Van Note tagging acquaintances and Todd Van Note responding that he "doesn't have a routine... I just do me."

On the ticketing side, the Space Cowboys announced an expanded slate of ticket packages for 2026; the team also made season ticket plans available now on the club's ticket page. The available materials do not list package names, pricing, seat locations or benefits, so prospective buyers and group organizers should consult the team's ticketing page or contact the Space Cowboys' ticket office for full package details and availability windows.

Constellation Field will host the auditions; the stadium sits at the corner of Hwy-6 and US-90 Alternate in Sugar Land, Texas. The Space Cowboys, who began play as the Astros' Triple-A affiliate in 2021 and adopted the Space Cowboys brand in 2022, are clearly leaning into in-game personality and new ticket options as tools to keep momentum from their 2024 championships and to drive attendance and engagement at home games.

KHOU described the ushertainer role as "a unique entertainment position found exclusively at Constellation Field," and the team is positioning the program as both a talent pipeline for local performers and a fan-facing enhancement for 2026. Interested performers should complete the audition form by Feb. 24 at 5:00 p.m. to be considered for the Feb. 26 audition or follow the team's instructions for submitting a live-audience performance video.
