Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA Hosts Free Community Baby Shower for Families in Need

Four days from now, expectant and new parents across the Mississippi Gulf Coast can walk into the Ocean Springs Community Center at 512 Washington Ave and walk out with baby supplies, health information, and connections to local support services, all at no cost.

The Mississippi Gulf Coast YMCA, in partnership with Health Help Mississippi, will host the Community Baby Shower on Thursday, March 26 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM CDT. The two-hour event is designed specifically to reach families who may lack access to basic infant care items or reliable health guidance, filling a gap that organizers say is felt acutely along the Gulf Coast.

According to event organizers, the gathering will connect new and expecting mothers with supplies, support, and health information, while also offering education from experts and linking attendees to local resources. Giveaways are planned, though specific items have not been publicly detailed.
