KPMG nearly tripled the capacity of its Australia-focused Fiji Dynamix delivery centre in Suva last week, expanding the Garden City office in Raiwai from 39 seats to 104 as client demand for its outsourcing services continues to accelerate.

Australian High Commissioner to Fiji Peter Roberts officiated at the launch and framed the expansion in terms of national positioning. "I think this is a very significant milestone for Fiji's reputation as a regional hub, for digital innovation and for high-level, high skill professional services," he said.

National Managing Partner, Mid-Market and Private, Naomi Mitchell described the Garden City site as a direct response to pressure from clients. In her launch address she placed the expansion within a three-year buildout: "We opened our 'Star One' office in August 2023 and followed that with the establishment of KPMG's Garden City office in Suva in 2024, complementing the firm's established footprint in Suva Central." On the workforce impact, she added: "For our staff, KPMG has also had a goal of providing offices such as this, which assist with wellbeing and productivity. KPMG Garden City and its FDX team are a dynamic part of that vision that we have."

KPMG Fiji managing partner Sharvek Naidu pointed to the investment's broader economic footprint. "Since 2023, KPMG has invested heavily in new office spaces between Star One in Nadi and Garden City in Suva, which has helped our own people and clients, the Fiji economy and job creation," he said. "That's about the continued growth of Fiji and the overall support for clients, people and growth."

The numbers behind those claims are stark. KPMG Fiji's workforce has grown from 160 to more than 440 people across the country, with the Garden City office now anchoring the firm's Fiji Dynamix team. The facility is positioned to deliver export-ready professional services to Australian clients through an outsourcing model, a segment KPMG has been building since it planted its first dedicated delivery centre infrastructure in Nadi three years ago.

The Suva expansion cements a strategic bet that Fiji can compete as a high-skill services hub rather than a low-cost back-office location, a distinction Roberts' comments at the launch reinforced. Whether the 104-seat footprint proves sufficient will depend on how quickly Australian client mandates continue to grow.
