Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement Reportedly Coming to Nintendo Switch
A 505 Games producer's LinkedIn profile listed Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement for Nintendo Switch alongside a separate unannounced Switch 2 title, both targeting 2026.

The LinkedIn profile of 505 Games producer Carlos Aguilar listed Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement for Nintendo Switch alongside a separate unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 project, both targeting 2026 — a disclosure that neither 505 Games nor developer ArtPlay has officially confirmed.
Nintendo-focused outlets spotted the listing, which Aguilar's profile renders as "PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and Switch 2026." A second line on the same profile references an unannounced Switch 2 title also targeting 2026. The game's formally announced platform list, as reported by IGN, covers only PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X and S for a 2026 release window, with no specific date set.
The Scarlet Engagement, announced in 2025, is a prequel to Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, created by Koji Igarashi, the designer behind Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. ArtPlay is developing the title under 505 Games. IGN described the game as featuring playable characters Leo and Alex in simultaneous co-op, set across what ArtPlay is calling Bloodstained's "largest map yet." Day-night cycles affect not just lighting but how players interact with the world, and the game includes crafting, cooking, and customization systems. The sequel promises a "fresh cast of allies and foes" that will hint at "deep connections" with Ritual of the Night while remaining accessible to players unfamiliar with that game's lore.
The Switch appearance on Aguilar's profile was not part of any official announcement. NintendoEverything noted it would be "somewhat surprising to see it on Nintendo Switch rather than Switch 2, but it's always possible that plans could change (or there was a mistake here)." GoNintendo pointed to franchise precedent: the original Bloodstained and two retro spin-offs previously landed on Switch, so a Nintendo release for the sequel "wouldn't be too surprising, but still very welcome nonetheless."

The second LinkedIn entry, the unannounced Switch 2 title, adds another layer of ambiguity. NintendoEverything speculated that 505 Games could be bringing an existing release to Switch 2, citing Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons Remake as one possibility. GoNintendo acknowledged the chance that the unannounced entry could be a Switch 2 version of The Scarlet Engagement itself, though it assessed that scenario as less likely than a separate project entirely.
505 Games and ArtPlay have not issued a statement addressing the Switch or Switch 2 listings. Until an official platform announcement arrives, the LinkedIn entry remains the sole, unverified source for Nintendo hardware plans.
