Donkey Kong Bananza Emerald Rush Event Starts March 31, Offers Exclusive Statues
Nintendo's next Emerald Rush event, "Unyielding Strength," launches March 31 on DK Island with exclusive Tiny Kong and Wrinkly Kong statues as prizes.

Nintendo Europe has confirmed "Unyielding Strength," the sixth Emerald Rush limited-time event for Donkey Kong Bananza, will begin March 31 and run through April 7 at 12:59 a.m. PT. Players who hit the event's target scores on the DK Island layer will earn exclusive statues of Tiny Kong and Wrinkly Kong, both drawn from Donkey Kong Jet Race, to display on their in-game DK Island.
The event is part of the monthly limited-time program attached to the paid "DK Island & Emerald Rush" DLC, which requires the base Donkey Kong Bananza game on Switch 2 and is priced at $20. To access Emerald Rush at all, players must first clear the main storyline, then speak to one of the Elders and visit the Warp Gong.
Each event shakes up the standard Emerald Rush formula by locking in conditions that are normally randomized. The Skills obtained from Banandium Gems are predetermined, and while players still choose their Emerald Perk from three options, those three options stay fixed across every run during the event window. Missing a target score is not a disqualifying blow: players may retry as many times as they like before the window closes.
Scoring above the target threshold earns character statues and Banandium Chips, which can also be exchanged for standard statues and used to decorate DK Island.
"Unyielding Strength" is the sixth installment in a consecutive monthly series. The program launched October 28, 2025, with "Chip Fever" on the DK Island layer, offering statues of Enguarde and Kong Bananza. "So Strong It's Funny" followed November 25 on the Hilltop Layer, with Chunky Kong and Lanky Kong statues as rewards. "Dig the Beat" ran December 16 through 22 on the Landfill Layer, with Ninja Kong and Ghastly King statues on offer. "Freeze Break" occupied the Freezer Layer from January 20 through January 26, rewarding players with statues of Tucks and Lord Fredrik. Most recently, "Ostrich Riches" took place on the Forest Layer starting February 17, offering Ostrich Bananza and Expresso statues.
Nintendo has described the exclusive statues as rewards players "won't find anywhere else," distinguishing event prizes from the standard statue catalog available through Banandium Chip exchange. The March 31 start time for "Unyielding Strength" is listed as 1:00 a.m. PT in event schedule records; Nintendo's regional pages carry precise local times for players outside North America.
