Nintendo Indie World Showcase Spotlights New Switch and Switch 2 Titles
Blue Prince shadow-dropped on Switch 2 the moment Nintendo's March 3 Indie World ended, capping an 18-game showcase that also delivered Rotwood as a console exclusive.

Blue Prince landed on Nintendo Switch 2 without warning on March 3, closing out Nintendo's latest Indie World showcase the way few game announcements do: with the game already available to download before the stream ended. The title, a 2025 Game Awards nominee for Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game, had previously released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Nintendo waited until the final moments of the roughly 15-minute presentation to reveal the Switch 2 version was live.
Klei Entertainment's Rotwood also arrived the same day as a Switch 2 console exclusive. The side-scrolling co-op action brawler, from the studio behind Don't Starve, supports up to four players locally or online and emphasizes skill-based progression alongside loot, with boss fights that demand repeated attempts rather than gear grinding.
Those two shadow drops were the sharpest edges of a showcase that covered 18 games in total. Denshattack!, an action-adventure platformer from developer Undercoders and publisher Fireshine Games, puts players in control of a train moving through a dystopian future Japan. It launches June 17, 2026 on Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, and a demo was already live on the Switch 2 eShop and Steam when the presentation aired.
Indoor Astronaut's Unrailed 2: Back on Track, which has been in PC Early Access, is set to hit version 1.0 in May 2026 on Nintendo Switch, Switch 2, and PC, with a PlayStation 5 release coming later in the year. The co-op railroad builder tasks players with laying track ahead of a moving train in real time, a premise that scales in chaos proportionally with the number of players.
Blumhouse Games and Perfect Garbage announced Grave Seasons, a farming sim that turns sinister when players discover a supernatural serial killer living among the town's residents. It targets a Summer 2026 release on Switch, PlayStation 5, PC, and Xbox Series X|S. Blighted, from the creators of Guacamelee! and Nobody Saves the World, takes a harder edge: an exploration-driven action RPG set in what Nintendo describes as a "psychedelic Western nightmare," due on Switch 2 in autumn 2026.
Rounding out the summer window are Heave Ho 2 from Le Cartel Studio, TOEM 2 for Switch, and My Little Puppy, an adventure following a Welsh corgi named Bong-hu through doggy heaven, arriving May 29 on Switch and PC. inKONBINI: One Store. Many Stories. has a firm April 30 date for Switch and Switch 2. Newsweek noted that Minishoot' Adventures also released the same day as the showcase, though that claim did not appear in other coverage reviewed at publication time.
Nintendo Everything's recap captured what many observers feel about the format: "There are some cool announcements, but nothing earth shattering - they're not intended to be Nintendo Directs. That said, we were treated to some noteworthy games on Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch." The Indie World format remains a deliberate lower-key vehicle, but the back-to-back same-day releases of Blue Prince and Rotwood suggest Nintendo is increasingly willing to use it for impact plays, not just release-window calendaring.
