Three Stabbed in Downtown LA Restaurant Fight, Two Suspects Arrested
A Sunday party at Zaya Restaurant turned violent when an argument left four people stabbed, one of whom fled with a neck wound and hadn't been found.

A party winding down at Zaya Restaurant in downtown Los Angeles turned violent Sunday evening when an argument among guests escalated into a stabbing that left multiple people hospitalized and sent two suspects to jail.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to 515 W. 7th St., near Olive Street, at approximately 5:15 p.m. on March 22, where LAFD spokesperson Lyndsey Lantz said crews found six patients scattered across two separate locations. Four women, ages 26, 27, 28 and 37, were transported to a hospital in fair condition. LAPD received its call just after 5:30 p.m. and took two suspects into custody at the scene; police said no one remained outstanding.
Authorities said the violence broke out as a party at the restaurant was winding down. According to LAPD, an argument between multiple people escalated into a physical altercation in which at least two people were stabbed with a knife and one with a bottle. Injuries reported by police included lacerations to the arms and back, with one victim's condition described as moderate and two others as minor.
The victim count shifted as the evening progressed. LAPD initially reported three people stabbed, but later updated that figure after learning a fourth person apparently suffered a laceration to the neck and fled the scene before officers arrived. That individual had not been located as of Sunday night, and their condition remained unknown.

Zaya Restaurant addressed the incident through an Instagram post: "While some situations develop unexpectedly and are beyond our control, the safety of our guests and staff remains our highest priority. We are especially grateful for the swift response of our team, as well as the immediate support of local law enforcement and emergency personnel."
No names or charges had been released for the two suspects taken into custody. The altercation remained under investigation by LAPD.
