Trader Joe's has confirmed its next large canvas tote will feature lavender handles and a pink logo, a detail the company's public relations manager Nakia Rohde disclosed to the Reno Gazette-Journal. The announcement came alongside word that the chain's pastel mini canvas totes will return to store shelves in mid-March, reprising last year's springtime color lineup.

Rohde described the new large bag as a bigger version of the lavender-handled mini tote that sold out quickly at many locations when it first appeared. Trader Joe's has not released a photograph of the bag and has not provided a release date. The December release of a green-handled large canvas bag, which has since sold out, established the pattern the company now appears to be following: limited drops, no advance photography, and lines that form before the shipments land.

The pastel mini totes, priced at $2.99 and measuring about 13 inches long, 11 inches tall and 6 inches wide, will return in four colors: delicate pink, baby blue, mint green and lovely lavender. Those are the same shades Trader Joe's offered in spring 2025, when the bags were released in April during the Easter season and drew long lines at stores nationwide. Last year, shoppers at the Trader Joe's at Shayden Summit mall in south Reno were photographed crowding toward a tote display on April 9.

Rohde was direct about what shoppers should not expect: a coordinated nationwide rollout. "We plan to offer pastel mini canvas totes in your neighborhood Trader Joe's store in mid-March," she said. "There will not be a specific day the totes will arrive in all Trader Joe's stores nationwide."

The tote phenomenon traces back to March 2024, when Trader Joe's released the mini canvas bag in primary colors red, green and blue. Demand outpaced supply fast enough that employees at some locations had to impose per-customer purchase limits. The Halloween-themed "Trick or Treat" mini tote dropped last October, followed by a canvas micro tote line in November 2025 and the green-handled large tote in December.

No price or dimensions have been reported for the upcoming large lavender tote. What's confirmed is the color, the style, and the track record: the last three limited tote releases sold out, and this one arrives with no image, no date, and an audience that has already proven it will line up anyway.
