Walmart Converts East Windsor Store to Full Service Supercenter
Walmart completed a roughly ten month remodel of its East Windsor, New Jersey store and reopened as a full service Supercenter, expanding grocery, deli, bakery and pharmacy offerings while adding about 60 jobs. Walmart reopened its East Windsor, New Jersey store as a full service Supercenter after around a ten month remodel that finished in mid December. The renovation expanded grocery and fresh offerings, added larger deli and bakery departments, refreshed finishes and signage, updated the vision center and pharmacy, and improved pickup and delivery services. The company held a grand reopening celebration on December 13 that included giveaways, music, and a two thousand dollar donation to a local youth mentoring organization.
Management said the project created about sixty new jobs and brought total employment at the location to roughly 245 associates. The remodel also introduced a private consultation space in the pharmacy and upgraded associate break rooms to improve comfort and accessibility. Those changes will shape day to day workflows by increasing the store s focus on perishables and customer services that require more hands on staffing and private interactions.
